Operation Deadbolt Collecting and Spending Essence - Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Zombies

Hi guys,

Let's have a look at how we can collect money in Operation Deadbolt within Modern Warfare 3 zombies and more importantly, how we can spend it by going on a shopping spree in the zombie wasteland. There are various ways we can make money in this zombified economy within Operation Deadbolt.

Essence is the currency of this zombie infected world, how we can get more is listed below:

How we can Collect Essence in Operation Deadbolt

Completing Contracts Across the Map

Explore the map diligently to discover Contracts, which are significant locations marked by specific objectives. These appear as BLUE icons on the mini map. Successfully completing these Contracts not only earns you Essence but also grants access to valuable loot. As you navigate the diverse landscapes, keep a keen eye on key points of interest that offer unique challenges and opportunities.

Each completed Contract contributes to your overall progression, enhancing both your skills and inventory. The rewards extend beyond mere currency, providing a tangible sense of accomplishment as you accumulate valuable items and resources.

Here is a list of all ZOMBIE CONTRACTS in Operation Deadbolt:

  • Aether Extractors - Locate the Aether Extractors. Interact with all Extractors to complete the contract.

  • Defend Ground Station - Gather seismic refractor data through interaction. Upon obtaining all the required data, initiate the server to commence the upload process. Safeguard the server from potential attackers throughout the upload phase.

  • Deliver Cargo - Safeguard the cargo and transport it to the extraction zone to fulfil the contract.

  • Eliminate The Bounty - Find the bounty target and conclude the contract by eliminating it.

  • Escort - Accompany the vehicle and ensure its protection along the designated route. The successful completion of the contract requires preventing any harm to the vehicle.

  • Outlast - Find and trigger the PND. Remain within the PND's vicinity until the analysis progress reaches 100% to successfully complete the contract.
  • Raid Weapon Stash - Discover the stash and initiate the drilling process by interacting with it. Once the progress reaches 100%, secure the contents inside to successfully fulfil the contract.

  • Spore Control - Find and acquire the Inhibitor devices, which will occupy one throwable slot. Toss an Inhibitor near a Spore to inflict damage on it. Eliminate all the necessary Spores to fulfil the contract.

Killing Zombies and Human Mercenaries

Immerse yourself in ceaseless battles against hordes of zombies and formidable mercenaries, all in the pursuit of accumulating Essence. The key to maximizing your Essence yield lies in earning experience points with each victorious confrontation. The more adept you become at dispatching foes, the richer your Essence rewards.

However, strategic choices become paramount, as targeting special zombies unveils an even more lucrative path. These unique adversaries not only pose greater challenges but also promise heightened Essence gains upon their defeat. Navigate the perilous landscapes with precision, honing your combat skills to not only survive the onslaught but to thrive in the rewarding endeavour of amassing Essence.

Harvester Orbs

players can discover Harvester Orbs situated at the boundary between Low and Medium Threat Zones. These elusive orbs materialize unpredictably across the map, their icons remaining invisible on the radar until you're in close proximity in the overworld. Recognizable by their distinctive purple hue, the Harvester Orbs gracefully navigate the surroundings, releasing essence when shot. It's crucial to keep pace with the orb, as it vanishes if you fail to pursue and destroy it promptly.

Notably, the locations of Harvester Orbs vary from game to game, introducing an element of unpredictability. Yet, through multiple sessions of exploration, we observed instances where Harvester Orbs appeared consistently in the same locations across different matches. The accompanying map illustrates the areas where these orbs were frequently encountered.

Typically, Harvester Orbs gravitate towards the periphery of Low and Medium Threat Zones, predominantly on the south and southeast sectors of the map. Curiously, our searches yielded no Harvester Orbs in the north and northwest corners in various matches, although this could be attributed to the whims of RNG (Random Number Generation).

Neutralizing Harvester Orbs

Engaging with these enigmatic orbs in MW3's Zombies mode requires a strategic approach for success.

  • Shoot and Pursue the Orb: Initiate the encounter by shooting the Harvester Orb, prompting it to move away. To effectively dismantle it, diligently follow the orb and maintain a continuous barrage of gunfire.
  • Team Up for Efficiency: Tackling Harvester Orbs is notably more manageable when undertaken as a squad. In a coordinated effort, each squad member can take turns shooting the orb while others give chase. Any damage inflicted contributes to fulfilling the objectives, particularly for Act 2 Mission Reaper.
  • Target Escape Rifts: The Harvester Orb occasionally deploys escape rifts. Prevent its getaway by aiming at the rift atop the orb during specific intervals.
  • Maintain a Safe Distance: Beware of the orb's potential to electrocute you if you get too close. Additionally, proximity may force your weapon to discharge involuntarily, depleting your ammunition when shocked.

Harvester Orb Rewards

Successfully obliterating a Harvester Orb guarantees the acquisition of an Aether Tool, a valuable asset for upgrading your weapon's rarity. Additionally, there is a chance for the orb to bestow players with various weapons and other valuable items. Approach the confrontation with these orbs strategically to reap the benefits and enhance your arsenal in MW3's challenging Zombies mode.

Looting Cash Registers

When progressing through areas, especially financial districts or area's where there may be gas stations, malls, shops, fast foot outlets etc. always check out the cash registers to see if any coinage has been left behind.

In areas of the map where it looks like there is possibly boutique style shops. the cash registers will be filled to the gills with money that can be looted. The larger the shop, the more tills it can have as there is more counters to serve customers....well now zombies are the ones being served.

We do like to hear the KACHING! noise, which is always welcome. as we see the money going into our wallets when playing Operation Deadbolt.

Bonus Points Pickup

Another easy way to pick up money is by destroying large hordes of zombies and not only getting money for each individual zombie kill, but sometimes they will drop a nice little surprise in the form of a BONUS POINTS pickup.

Show me the Essence Baby!

Buy Weapons

Trade your hard-earned Essence to acquire new weapons strategically placed at designated points of interest, including wall buys, Buy Stations, or Mystery Boxes.

As you navigate through progressively challenging areas in the game's zombie mode, you'll find that the weaponry available improves in quality, providing you with a better chance of surviving the undead onslaught.

Upgrade Weapons

Channel your Essence into elevating your arsenal with the Pack-a-Punch system. This upgrade not only amplifies your ammunition capacity but also substantially augments the power of your weapons.

The cost of Pack-A-Punch:

  • 5,000 points for the first tier
  • 10,000 points for the second tier
  • 15,000 points for the third tier

It's crucial to note that these enhancements aren't free, so make sure you've accumulated a considerable amount of Essence before diving into the Pack-a-Punch upgrades to maximize your zombie-slaying potential.

Utilize the traditional Pack-a-Punch machine to enhance your weapon through three levels of upgrades. In MW3 Zombies, the upgrade process allows for three improvements, but it comes with a restriction: you can only upgrade your weapon once within each zone. The low-threat zone is ideal for the initial weapon upgrade, while you'll need to progress to the next threat level for the second enhancement. The ultimate and third upgrade awaits you in the high-threat zone, demanding a formidable battle to achieve.

Stored enhancements from Pack-a-Punched guns are not retained. It's crucial to understand that while many items found during your matches can be extracted and preserved for future use, the upgrades made to your weapons via Pack-a-Punch cannot be saved. Any improvements applied to the weapons you've invested in, including the weapon level rarities, will be reset when you choose to exfil.

Considering the cost of Pack-a-Punching, it's advisable to upgrade your weapons when you have sufficient time to utilize them effectively. Avoid delaying upgrades until the end of your match, as these enhanced weapons will revert to their base-level blueprints for your subsequent game.

Thanks for reading as always guys.
