Hi guys,
Glad to see we will embarking on another epic zombie journey in the next couple of months and I cannot wait, as this instalment of zombies looks to be epic if the teaser trailer is anything to go by. I am definitely hyped to the max!
I will of course, be drawing the maps for Operation Deadbolt on day one when I get my hands on the game. It is interesting to know that this is apparently going to be one of the biggest maps ever for zombies which fills me with excitement, as it will keep me busy for some time creating them.
Not only am I excited for the maps size, but also how this version of zombies is executed as it is the first time the zombies experience has come to the Modern Warfare side of the franchise.
Lets take a look at the teaser trailer again if you haven't already seen it:

The Intriguing Setup
Our story begins with a covert military operation, cloaked in the shadows of the night. A squad of soldiers, clad in military attire, prepares to breach the back door of a mysterious hotel building. Their mission: to uncover the secrets hidden within. To divert local law enforcement, a familiar voice orchestrates a distraction, setting the stage for their covert incursion.
The Shocking Discovery
As the squad infiltrates the building, they stumble upon a room that will change the course of their mission. Inside, they find four horribly decomposed bodies seated around a table, their identities lost to time. At the centre of the table lies a peculiar device, concealing two vials filled with a mysterious, active substance. The shocking twist comes when one of the soldiers removes his mask, revealing himself as Viktor Zakhaev, the notorious ultranationalist arms dealer and nemesis of Task Force 141. His expression tells us he has stumbled upon something significant.
There is a nice little nod to the MONKEY BOMB on the shelf as they scan around the room with their flashlights when investigating this room.
The Chaotic Escape
Securing the vials, the squad hurriedly exits the scene, only to be met with a hail of bullets as the local security forces and military police close in. A fiery and brutal firefight ensues, leaving Zakhaev's forces outnumbered and desperate.
A police sharpshooter takes out several of Zakhaev's men and wounds Zakhaev himself as he tries to run towards his armoured vehicle.
In a final, desperate act, Zakhaev hurls one of the vials at his pursuers before retreating to safety. The vial shatters on impact, releasing a purple fog that swiftly consumes the streets, turning both the living and the fallen into ravenous zombies.
This scene is absolutely epic and it feels like watching a blockbuster film at the cinema, it just works so well, especially when Zakhaev's men fire the RPG at the police and it follows the projectile head on is a nice touch. I found myself watching this teaser 3 times with my jaw hitting the ground each time I saw this bit again.
The Sinister Aftermath
Safe within their armoured vehicle, Zakhaev and his lone surviving comrade bear witness to the gruesome transformation. The once-human foes now transformed into nightmarish creatures with blood-red eyes. Zakhaev's smile suggests he wields a weapon of unimaginable power, one that could reshape the world as we know it.
Unravelling the Mystery
Following these horrifying events, a helicopter descends on the scene, carrying SSO Kate Laswell and Sergeant Johnny "Soap" MacTavish, who brief an unseen Operator on the mission, codenamed "Operation Deadbolt." Alongside them is Captain Sergei Ravenov, a seasoned Operator with expertise in handling such incursions. Leading the ground operation is SSO Greene. While they possess intel that Zakhaev was planning something, the specifics remain elusive. But they are about to uncover the truth.
Terminus Outcomes
In this iteration of the Zombies experience, threats come in both undead and living forms. The living threats emerge in the shape of "Terminus Outcomes," a private military company employed by Zakhaev for muscle. Led by Jack Fletcher, the surviving soldier from Zakhaev's squad, Terminus Outcomes are motivated solely by the allure of money. No ethical judgments are made when the pay cheque is right.
Operation Deadbolt Unleashed
Operation Deadbolt, an emergency contingency plan devised by the CIA, is initiated to counter the growing threat. SSO Laswell spearheads the effort, with SSO Selma Greene taking command on the ground. The team arrives at the Exclusion Zone, several weeks after the initial incident. As a member of the team, your Operator joins multinational counterparts, all working under the mission's cardinal rule: "Nothing gets in, nothing gets out."
Modern Warfare: Zombies: Available at Launch
Prepare yourself for an epic battle against hordes of undead as Operation Deadbolt embarks on challenging multi-stage missions. Players will take on the roles of Soap and his team as they confront Zakhaev and Terminus, all while containing the spreading menace. Modern Warfare Zombies blends the best of the franchise's map features with the beloved core elements of Treyarch Zombies. It's set to launch alongside the Campaign and Multiplayer modes in Modern Warfare III, arriving on November 10, 2023.

In addition to pre-ordering Modern Warfare III for various benefits, players can now unlock the "Zombie Ghost" Operator Skin. This unique skin can be yours by pre-ordering any digital edition of Modern Warfare III. Depending on when you pre-order, you'll gain access to Zombie Ghost either immediately or starting on September 27. This exclusive Operator Skin can be used not only in Modern Warfare II but also in Call of Duty: Warzone, carrying forward to Modern Warfare III upon its release.
