Hey guys,

Here is the map layout for the CONTROL ROOM and the TUNNLEY areas in Die Maschine Zombies in Call Of Duty Cold War. This area is where all the horrific things that happened on the video you saw before loading this map up for the first, took place. You will remember the soldier going into these doors with the gas mask on etc and them closing behind him, sealing his fate....to doom.

This area has the following features and once all of the doors and obstacles have been unlocked, it really opens up the map, along with lots of possibilities about where to go and what to do next:

  • Crafting table
  • Access to the POND
  • Access to the FACILITY
  • Access to the CRASH SITE
  • Access to the MEDICAL BAY
  • Access to the WEAPONS LAB
  • AK 74-U wall buy 2250 credits
  • XMR wall buy 1750 credits
  • Trial Computer 500 credits a trial
  • Ammo Cache

Intel on the Trial Computer
As well as getting various rewards along the way from the TRIAL computer located in the CONTROL ROOM, you can also collect INTEL along the way by completing these tasks. You will know you have an Intel reward available as it will tell you on the left hand side of your HUD that the reward is INTEL based, so it is definitely worth getting your butt down there pronto to pick it up.

There is a set of documents and audio logs to be collected from the TRIAL computer and here is a list of them.

The 12 documents to collect are entitled:

Hey guys,

Here is how to decrypt the PASSWORD for the COMPUTER located in the MEDICAL BAY area of Die Maschine Zombies in Call Of Duty Cold War. Also it shows where to find Dr Vogel's Diary and how to use it.

The prerequisite for finding Dr Vogel's Diary is to have found all 3 parts to the AETHERSCOPE and built it using one of the crafting tables. This is because when you go into the DARK AETHER, you will not be able to see this diary unless you have the AETHERSCOPE equipped.

It seems to see things that normal people cannot, perhaps picking up spectral reflections or paranormal style activity. Either way, whatever is behind the science, we need it to help complete the main Easter egg.

Once we decrypt the computer password after carrying out the following tasks, we will be activating a machine in the ceiling of the MEDICAL BAY area which we will use to trap a MEGATON zombies 2 fronds he splits into when the larger one is destroyed.

This machine will then transform the 2 Megaton split personality zombies back into one which will have all the memories and motor functions of Dr Vogel himself.


 Medical Emergency!

Once you pick the AETHERSCOPE up, make you way to the MEDICAL BAY, don't worry its only for a check up, where you will find another portal that will take you to the DARK AETHER. Once you enter it, head over to the room where the COMPUTER is located in the MEDICAL BAY that, when in the normal world, asks you for a PASSWORD.




Here in the AETHER side of things you will come across DR VOGELS DIARY. Pick this up and don't read it, its got all his secrets and formula's etc worth billions in the real world.........alright lets have a peek! Could be some juicy gossip.


Somebody get me the Ghostbusters!
Now we have DR VOGELS DIARY, drop down to the lower area of the MEDICAL BAY to the little side section beside where the SPEED COLA PERK MACHINE is located. On picking up the diary, you will have been notified by the Star Trek style computer that an anomaly has been detected.





In this lower section in the MEDICAL BAY, there will be a blue orb which you need to hold the use button on. This will make a SPECTRAL REFLECTION of Dr Vogel appear here, which you will need to give DR VOGELS DIARY to. 2 more anomalies will then spawn into the map in the form of these BLUE ORBS.

Ghostbusters 2!
Next we need to go to the CONTROL ROOM and in front of the TRIALS COMPUTER, there will be another orb we need to interact with in order to bring through the SPECTRAL REFLECTION number 2.




When they come through to say hello, you need to give them DR VOGELS DIARY again, where there will then be some more dialogue read out to you by the reflection. For all of these dialogue sequences, you can just fire onto the next one, as you don't need to listen to them all if you do want to.

Ghostbusters 3 - Answer the call
Lastly the third orb is located in the PARTICLE ACCELERATOR room where the Pack A Punch machine is, at the crafting table located in this area. Again give the ghost the diary and let them act out their dialogue, where you can then move onto the next step, which involves a bit of computer hacking.



Ethical Hacking
Now that we have broken some data protection rules and given out sensitive information to ghosts from a distant pass, we can head to the MEDICAL BAY area, back to the room where there was a COMPUTER ASKING FOR A PASSWORD, which we didn't have a baldy what the password was.





Now we have the password from the diary, it can be entered into the computer by holding the use button on it. It will input the password for you and will activate a machine on the other side of the glass in the medical bay which is attached to the ceiling.

You will see a message from the PA SYSTEM saying "Warning: Initialization Interrupted. Power Required." 

Thats when you know you have done all that is required of this part, this is part of the Main Easter Egg and needs to be done in order to complete the level.

Hey Guys,

here is how to find all 3 parts for building the Atherscope in Die Maschine Zombies in Call Of Duty Cold War. This is not too tricky to do as all 3 parts for it spawn in the same locations, just in a different spawn order on each playthrough. 

The AETHERSCOPE is required to complete the main Easter Egg on this map and will also reveal more anomalies, portals and other strange things you cannot normally see with your own eyes when you are in the DARK AETHER, such as Dr Vogel's Diary in the MEDICAL BAY area.

Lets get down to business to see how we can construct this object without needing a degree in nuclear physics.....


Dark Aether

First up we need to buckle our seat belts and make sure our tray tables are in their upright positions, as we take a trip through one of the portals, or anomalies as they are scientifically referred to, in the game. Once the Pack A Punch machine has been built, an anomaly will have spawned somewhere on the map. 





This will appear as a DIAMOND shape with a STAR in the middle of it. Simply walk up to it and hold the use button and you will slowly be atomised into billions of particles and thrown across space and time to god knows where......where you will then appear on the other side in the same spot.....hmmm didn't seem to go far, just into an alternate reality perhaps?

When in the Dark Aether, you now need to find 3 parts, which all spawn in the same locations, but in a different order they spawn in each play through. These 3 parts relate to building the very cool sounding ATHERSCOPE


Aetherscope Part 1 Location
This part is located just under the stairs to the left of the crafting table in the YARD area. It looks almost like a weird TV aerial.



Aetherscope Part 2 Location
This second part is located at the CRASH SITE area on top of the destroyed plane engine, just behind the planes cockpit, which should be floating high in the sky in the Aether side of things. If a plane cockpit defying the laws of physics is not an anomaly, then I don't know what is.

It looks like a small box or battery of some sort.



Aetherscrope Part 3 Location
The last part spawns in the PARTICLE ACCELERATOR area where Pack A Punch is located. It looks like some kind of small canister of sorts. This is near the UPGRADE STATION, just down the stairs where the FAST TRAVEL spawns near it.




You should have enough time in this single trip to run around and grab all 3 of these parts no problem before being thrown back into the normal world.

Now you have all 3 parts, we just need something to build them with and that is the CRAFTING BENCH.





Find one of these benches such as the one in the YARD, TUNNEL or PARTICLE ACCELERATOR area and build the AETHERSCOPE. Once built, Officer Weaver will show his shady face and give you some dialogue.

Hi guys,

Here is how to activate and listen to the awesome musical Easter Egg in the zombies map Die Maschine in Call Of Duty Cold War

This secret track is called "Alone" by Clark S Nova. Have a listen here if haven't heard it yet its class:



Its definitely worth a listen to and like most of any other Call Of Duty Zombies musical easter eggs, the music ties in very well with the zombie horror, onslaught, fear and commotion that goes on as you progress through the levels.

How do we activate this song in game? Get me a cassette playe and I'll show your.....I hear some millennials or people born after 2000 asking, what the hell is a cassette player? Well lets find out.....

To activate this song, we need to find 3 cassette tapes scattered throughout the map. They can be found at the following locations:


Cassette Tape Location 1

The first location is in the LIVING ROOM area, inside what appears to be the refrigerator. Trust me folks who haven't used a cassette tape, this is not how they were stored. Simply walk up to the object and hold the USE button on it and that will be numero uno of the cassettes bagged and tagged.


Cassette Tape Location 2

The second cassette location is in the MEDICAL BAY on a stack of shelves in the room, along the left hand side wall, where the computer is located and needs the password entered into it. This is the computer with the red glowing screen. 



Cassette Tape Location 3

The last tape location is on the ground floor of the PARTICLE ACCELERATOR ROOM. It is sitting on top of an old computer server. To get to it, if entering from the MEDICAL BAY, walk down the stairs leading down to the right of the UPGRADE STATION, sticking to the right hand side of the surroundings.


When you get to this part of the map you will see it sitting on top of the computer.

Hi guys,

Here is how upgrade the D.I.E. Wonderweapon in the map Die Maschine in Call Of Duty Cold War. This amazing wonder weapon can upgraded to 1 of 4 flavours. Try finding the one that you like best, is best suited to the current level your on and situation you are in, or whichever one is best suited to your style of play.

In order to upgrade this amazing wonder weapon, we of course need to obtain it first. If not sure how to do that, simply follow the FREE D.I.E. wonder weapon guide.

Then we should be ready to upgrade this bad boy to the heaven's and back with some kick ass upgrades.

Assuming you now are holding this marvel of high tech weaponry in your hand with a huge grin on your face, lets get started.....


Don't D.I.E. while upgrading the wonder weapon

Now that we have this awesome firepower of the D.I.E. Wonder Weapon, we can make it even more destructive by upgrading it in a nice selection of 4 different flavours. 

The 4 flavours of the upgrade come in the form of:

  • Fire upgrade - D.I.E. Thermophasic upgrade
  • Electric Upgrade - D.I.E. Shockwave upgrade
  • Ice Upgrade - D.I.E. Cryo-Emitter upgrade
  • D.I.E. Nova 5 Upgrade - Toxic Upgrade

Fire Upgrade
In order to upgrade the D.I.E Wonder Weapon to FIRE, we need to head over to fire's worst enemy, an area which contains water, you got it, the POND AREA




Here you will find to the right of where the mystery box is located an anomaly that allows you to enter the dark aether. This portal only relates to the fire upgrade and none of the others associated with the D.I.E. wonder weapon.




When you enter the Aether, head over to the CRASH SITE area where the downed plane is embedded in the snow. Go to where the front of the plane is located, the cockpit, where you will find that it is mysteriously hovering above the ground like something possessed. Underneath where it was lying in the snow is now a box.




All you have to do is MELEE the box that was under the cockpit, causing it to spring open, revealing a FUSE. Not sure how many amps this is or if it will fit into your kettles plug as a replacement, but all we do know is, it will appear in your HUD when you press the BACK button as 1 of 3 CARTRIDGES.

While still in the Dark Aether, you need to run over to the WEAPONS LAB area and drop down to the area where DEAD SHOT DAIQUIRI PERK MACHINE is. Just facing this perk machine is a PLASMA CUTTER machine that you need to put the FUSE into.




When you place the fuse in the machine, an animation of the laser cutter will show it cutting into something. Then when you come back into the normal world, head back over to the POND area and just beside where the Anomaly was to enter the Dark Aether, there is a half knackered truck sitting, with a box on the back.




Climb onto this truck and open the box, which will contain a present even more fierier than the hottest chilli on earth, the D.I.E. Thermophasic upgrade.


Crystal Clear Treasure Hunt with Shocking Results
Next upgrade we will look at is for the ELECTRIC UPGRADE of the wonderweapon. To do this we need head over to the PARTICLE ACCELERATOR area and on the ground floor, where the crafting table is located, an anomaly will appear behind the stairs.




Go up to it and enter the Dark Aether again. This is a time dependent process which needs to be carried out in upgrading to the ELECTRIC, so make sure you get all 3 of these CRYSTALS AND SHOOTING THEM INTO THE RELEVANT BOX before you get kicked out of the Aether. The 3 crystals are in different locations:

  • Roof of the BEDROOM AREA


  • Behind mystery box in the POND AREA 


  • At the CRASH SITE AREA to the right of the TUNNEL entrance



When you find a crystal, use the wonder weapons other fire mode which sucks thigns towards it. When you find one of these yellow glowing crystals, you will need to:

  • Suck the energy from a single crystal
  • Run down to the Pack A Punch machine room PARTICLE ACCELERATOR
  • Facing the Anomaly you entered here, shoot the crystal energy into an ammo box

You need to do this for each crystal, as only one can be done at a time, so make sure you have opened and calculated the shortest distance to get you down to the PARTICLE ACCELERATOR room again. Lots of people suggest getting the perk STAMINUP which lets you run for longer and will give you more precious seconds in the Aether to get these 3 crystals done and dusted.




If you have sucked the energy out of the last crystal and come back into the normal world again, it will allow you to keep the energy and shooting it into the ammo box in the real world will let it count also. Shoot the crystal energy for all 3 crystals into this box

If you fail this step, the anomaly will disappear for a while, but killing zombies for a minute or two or progressing onto another round usually makes it appear again, so don't worry if make a Horlicks out of it first time around.







you will notice that as you discharge the crystal energy into the box, a yellow light will appear on the box indicating how many you have shot into it. When all 3 lights are yellow you can upgrade to the D.I.E. ELECTROBOLT.


Baby its cold outside.........so stay frosty!
Now we can move onto the ICE UPGRADE which upgrades the D.I.E. Wonder weapon to the D.I.E. Cryo Emitter. In order to be as cool as ice......we need to sing on our travels this time the song ice ice baby.... as we make our way over to the PENTHOUSE AREA on top of the OMEGA OUTPOST.





When we get there, look toward the POND AREA and you will see a box balancing on the edge of one of the walls. We need to shoot this with the D.I.E. Wonder weapon. When we do, it will fall down into the POND AREA and the box will reveal and EMPTY FLASK.

Now we need to progress through the rounds until we get a MEGATON ZOMBIE to spawn in, who we will use to activate a dormant object stuck to one of the TREES in the POND area. It sort of looks like a kind of fungus formation, but I am not botanist so don't take my advice, we simply need to get the MEGATON ZOMBIE to shoot the weird object so we can activate the MUTATED FUNGUS on the tree and collect some fluid from it.



Simply stand behind the tree and juke out now and again for the MEGATON ZOMBIE to lock onto you and fire off a couple of rounds. Using the tree as cover means it will be guaranteed to hit and activate it. You will know the MEGATON ZOMBIE has hit the tree successfully when you hear a quote from MAJOR CARVER. 




Now you can walk up to the MUTATED FUNGUS in the tree and hold the USE button on it to collect CRYOGENIC LIQUID. Once you place the empty flask at the tree to collect the liquid, it will take about 30 seconds to fill the flask. Then head back shortly after placing it and you will see that the flask now says it is a FULL FLASK you are picking up.




Now the flask is full, take it down to the MEDICAL BAY area and just before the door that goes into the PARTICLE ACCLERATOR ROOM, near the SPEED COLA PERK MACHINE, there is a green box sitting on the floor which you pour out the Cryogenic fluid onto. Once you do this, some chains will appear around the box, causing it to open and revealing the CRYO EMITTER UPGRADE.


D.I.E. Nova 5
To get this upgrade, we need to have the D.I.E. Shockwave upgrade equipped, and have to trek over to the MEZZANINE area of the OMEGA OUTPOST. When on this floor, go to where the EMPTY CANISTER part is marked on the map below:




When you get to this location, use the energy sucking function of the D.I.E. Shockwave and point it toward this empty canister. This will make it come flying over to you so you can pick it up.




When you pick up this canister, it is to be taken to the WEAPONS LAB area near the DEAD SHOT perk. There is a machine in the corner of this lower level of the WEAPONS LAB which wants you to put the canister in a "CLEANING UNIT" machine



Next all you need to do is kill a PLAGUEHOUND next to the canister, which will then trap some of the gas that is emitted from it when it dies. 




Don't worry we are not catching the dogs farts or anything after a few baked beans, this machine is not a fart gas trapper, its a more serious, scientific bit of kit........ this PLAGUEHOUND GAS CANISTER PART is then taken to the CRASH SITE area and placed on a WEAPONS CRATE to the right of the planes destroyed cockpit.






That is how its done, as easy as abc.....123. Everyone's favourite version of this upgrade seems to be the Electrobolt version but the other ones do exorbitant amounts of damage as well and it all depends on the situation you find yourself in at the time may call for different flavours of this upgrade.

I compare it to getting a bowl of soup for lunch, with a fork.....at that point I know I need to upgrade to the spoon, otherwise it take me about 20 years to finish this soup. Same logic applies to D.I.E. wonder weapon.
