Hi guys,
here we have the map layout for the new Call of Duty Cold War zombies map entitled "Die Maschine". If this map feels all too familiar or your getting a hint of Deja Vu in place, then good, as it contains the "Nacht Der Untoten" elements within the map, the concrete bunker the level took place in. However this time around the map has been extended and revamped way beyond that sandbox bunker and they have let you run wild and free from this point on.
In this zombies version we collect money the same way as previous zombies, by blowing them away with the biggest guns known to man. We can also collect resources from zombies while slaughtering them in the form of salvaged parts. These parts can be used to create items on the crafting tables dotted around the map. Think of salvage as money for crafting tables, they have their own separate bank account.
Green salvage drops that you find is uncommon parts, blue salvage drops contain lots more parts when picked up, but collecting lots of green salvage does eventually add up over the rounds and do come in useful especially when in a bit of a jam when needing a little bit of help along the way.
Zombies also drop from time to time drop items that can be used straight away, including, but not limited to:
- Tomahawks - Can carry more than one, one hit kills for quite a few rounds, can be picked up and used again
- Frag Grenades
- Stimshot
- Body Armour
- C4
- Stun Grenades
You can also try to exfil the area from round 10 onwards and every 5 rounds after that. The higher the round you attempt to exfil in, the better the bonus or reward will be if you escape.
Map Layout
This first section we begin the game in is the main spawn area, called the YARD.
Its not a huge area to begin with which is good if you have just started the game, as it lets you get your bearings quite quickly and find out where the exists from this area are, without too much pressure on you to move on right away......well apart from the pressure of the flesh eating undead beasts that will be chasing you around like a headless chickens during the rounds......if that's not pressure.....I don't know what is!
This area has the following points of interest:
- Ammo Cache - purchase ammo for guns you are carrying
- Crafting Table - build items with collected salvage parts
- Mystery Box Spawn Location
- Door which only opens when power is on (turned on in PARTICLE ACCELERATOR area)
- 2 door purchases - Leads to LIVING ROOM & OMEGA OUTPOST areas (Cost 500)
- Very cool graffiti and artwork on the walls
- Broken down tank needs repaired
Yard Area Map Layout
Tank Repair Points Intel- ACTIVATED THE PACK A PUNCH MACHINE
- FROM PACK A PUNCH, ACQUIRED THE DEAD WIRE AMMO MODIFICATION
Over the next few days I will be adding all the other map locations and their respective points of interests, so watch this space.
Thanks for reading as always guys.
Henry
