My boss has given me the axe!
Now we are back in the map after the previous cut scene, 2 rounds after the current round, we will see 3 giant Ethereum Crystals spawning into the map. So for example if we were on round 10 we activated the cut scene, we should see the Ethereum Crystals spawning into the map in round 12.
They come down like mini shooting stars into the map with an orangey glow. The PA system will also warn you that there is an unidentified anomaly exiting the dimensional breach.....a typical occurrence we see in our daily lives no doubt. Ravenov will also mentions that it is near Main Street, should you want to investigate.
In order to complete the steps that are associated with these crystals, you will indeedy need the Chrysalax wonder weapon. See my full Chrysalax Wonder Weapon Guide here.
This can be obtained in several different ways which are:
- Mystery Box
- Trials Computer in the form of a Legendary Reward
- Building the Chrysalax from scratch
- Playing and winning the Der Eisendrache Arcade Machine in the Arcade area
You can get the Chrysalax any which way you prefer, however, there are additional steps which need to be completed as part of the Easter Egg Quest, so we might as well continue progressing through them while we also work on getting our trusty and sturdy zombie killing tool, the Chrysalax, at the same time.
Zombie essence, the fuel of the future!
We need to head over to the Fuel Processing area and if in solo play, activate one of the control panels on the fuel Processing Tank, anyone that takes your fancy. If in 4 player, each player will need to stand beside each of the Fuel Processing tanks and activate all the control panels at the same time.
If successful, this will trigger a mini lockdown where it will spawn in tons of zombies and each time you kill one, its essence will be charged into the fuel tanks. The PA system will also notify you that there is a Fuel Processing overload in progress and to get the hell out of there.....of course....we will....not be listening to this health and safety advice, we know better.
When you kill enough zombies to fill the fuel tanks up, you will notice on the sides of the tanks that there is a red liquid filling them up. Once this gets to the top its a done deal and the lock down should end. As a reward to your ignoring of health and safety advice from the PA system and putting your life in danger, it will spawn a part to pick up in the centre of all 4 of the fuel tanks.
This will be a FUEL TANK. This will be one of three parts that is used to build the Neutrilizer . Make sure to pick this up and we can move onto the next step. Doctor Grey will mention that the Aetherium Neutrilizer is powered by Aetherium....glad we have scientists in this level to point that out that important scientific key fact for us....the hint was....kind of in the name of the device Doctor Grey.
Its an Abomination, Its an Abmonination.......sorry for repeating myself, but I need multiple abominations
Next we need to spawn in Multiple Abominations in order to get the next part for the Neutrilizer, which is located in the Boardroom area, so we will need to make our merry way to the Bunker area first to get to this room.
We will then need to stand in the corner of the Board Room and we need to try and entice an Abomination to charge at us while we stand in the corner shown on the map below.
Once he is about to hit us, step out of the way as he tried to bite your head off and he will knock down the Housing Unit from the wall. This is the second part now for the Neutrilizer, just one more to go, so close I can feel it.
If the Abomination doesn't knock the part off the wall when it charges the first time, simply rinse and repeat the charging / entice process, until he hits it a smacker and it flies off the wall and comes crashing to the floor....hopefully not damaging the part while in transit.
When my guns wired up it packs a real punch
Before we go in search of the third part for the Neutrilizer, we need to head over to the Observation Tower area and fire our gun into the Pack A Punch machine in order to change a regular bullet weapon to the Dead Wire bullets, which will cost you a total of around 2000 credits, which is a shocking price....but so it should be.....as these bullets deal electrical damage and may offer the chance to stun an enemy. So literally do what they say on the tin, shock zombies and the purchaser buying them as nothing in this world is free anymore it seems.
Now we have the correct bullets we need, head over to the Arcade area that is connected to The Video Store and is just off Anytown West's main street area.
Find the Arcade machine that is called GRAND PRIX in its title and then lure a zombie over beside him and shoot him with the shockifying ammo you now have equipped. Once you kill the zombie beside it, you will notice some electrifyingly dangerous energy bolts shoot into the arcade machine called GRAND PRIX and it will turn the machine on.
you can then go up to the machine and press the USE button on it and for a very nice price of 2000 credits....whatever happened to quarters and 10p machines they used to have?.....you can spawn in a very special RCXD remote control car to control. This is always a lot of fun to use and we will need to drive it to the TV Store just across the street from the Arcade.
Once you get to the TV Store, drive behind the counter and you will see a metal air vent. As you are driving, you will have noticed bursts of energy being emitted from the RCXD, when you approach this vent and lets the bursts emit beside it, it will have enough force to blow the vent off its hinges and allow the car to drive in.....try not to crash into anything, this RCXD car is not insured.
Drive into the air vent and to the right of the hole you entered, you will notice some shelves holding some boxes. Put the RCXD to the left of these shelves, then push the jump button and detonate the RCXD....at this point you can say goodbye to the plaster on the other side of the wall.
Run over to the TV Store as fast as you can, before some zombie nicks the part that has been exposed in the wall from the explosion in the store room.
Now we have all 3 parts, we need to move onto the next step which means we will have to have the Chrysalax obtained before moving on.
Crystal-Axe....Chrysalax and 3 Crystals, with a pinch of Abomination
Sounds like a recipe for disaster, but now you should have the Chrysalax and we can move onto finding the 3 large purple crystals that are spawned in the map, who have appeared and landed earlier on in this Easter egg guide.
The 3 locations these giant crystals have appeared in are:
- Amplifier Area - Just behind the Mystery Box
- Staging Area - Back to the Main Spawn in the centre of this area
- Storage Zone 5 Rooftops - Back to Main Street and head up the stairs to here as its on the roof
