This zombie infestation is going down a storm!

Next up, we will need to head over to where one of the two AETHER STORM CLOUDS are located on the map which is in the CEMETERY or the RIVERSIDE area.

Simply go underneath one of the storm clouds and interact with it. You will see a placeholder for the LTG DEVICE you created in the previous step. This will make a PORTAL appear from the cloud and you will have 60 seconds to defend the PORTAL INTEGRITY so that a gateway portal can be formed.

As zombies run into the portal, the more it will weaken the portal integrity. Keep as many of the zombies from running into the portal and attacking it as you can until the timer is finished. If you fail this task, don't worry you can restart it again in the next round.

When the portal has reached zero on the timer and the integrity has survived, it will spawn in a HIGH VALUE TARGET in the form of a powerful MANGLER variation which is armored to the teeth....literally I cannot see his teeth.

Damage this MANGLER until he has about 25% of his health left, but do not kill him....I know that's right you heard me, we need him alive....for now.....then we will destroy him.

You will know when it is ready to go to the next step as you will see PURPLE SMOKE coming out of him and PANOS will also send you a message, telling you to prepare an AETHER CANISTER to finish it off.

Now you need to head back to the CHURCH and pick up one of the AETHER CANISTERS from the machine that we first activated to begin the whole Easter egg. Once you pick up this canister however, you will not be able to sprint with your character so be aware, as that canister probably weighs a tonne.

It's a Trap.....course it is!!!!!

Now we have this AETHER CANISTER, we need to go to one of the two DARK AETHER FIELD TRAPS and place the canister down on one of the emitters that gives off the electrical shock of the aether. These are the small pads that are attached to the main device via wires. Drop this canister on top of one of the pads, then activate the trap for 1000 credits. 

You will then need to train the HIGH VALUE TARGET ZOMBIE, the SUPER MANGLER, and get him to take damage from the trap from the pad that the canister is placed at. When the HVT is destroyed by the trap, you will see his purple soul jump into the canister. You can then go over and hold the use button in order to pick it up again.

When you pick this canister up, you will notice you have only 90 seconds to get it back to the CHURCH area and back into the machine which you took the canister from. This is because it is leaking DARK AETHER ENERGY. Simply go back to the machine in the church and hold the use button on it to place the canister inside. Good job!

Zombie apocalypses are very Straussful situations

The next step we need to do is go back up to the Aether Machine inside the CHURCH and you will not notice there is a small compartment on the left hand side has opened up. It will now have a TACTICAL PICKUP for you called the STRAUSS COUNTER.

When you leave the church, hold in your tactical button and it it will bring up the STRAUSS COUNTER and will show a SIGNAL STRENGTH and and COLOUR. 

You now need to go to the parts of the map that have the 3 Projectors located, which are the strange little devices sitting around on slightly elevated positions and change teh colour of hte projector to match that of the strauss counter when your nearby it. There is only 3 colours, RED, GREEN and YELLOW.  They are totally random each playthrough what colour each may be, but it is easy to activate these and figure out what colour each should be.

These 3 projectors are located in the following places:

• Hilltop Stairs - on the grass facing the LIBERTY LANES BOWLING ALLEY

• Ice Cream Shop Roof - access this by buying the explosive board for 500 credits and getting access to the roof. The projector is sitting on top of the roof at the edge.

• Groundskeepers Yard - on the grass beside the railings of the stairs leading down to the flower shop. This STRAUSS COLOUR READING is slightly different as its in the INVERSE reading. If it says GREEN for example, it actually is the other end of the colour spectrum which is RED.

If you are playing in multiplayer on zombies, every player will have a STRAUSS COUNTER that is matched to only 1 projector. This means you will definitely need to keep your other team mates alive in order to activate and change the colour of the projector that is randomly assigned to them.

You will know once this has been completed successfully as purple beams of light will be emitting from all 3 projectors. You will also get a quote from PANOS saying the canister by the gas station is ready to be filled.

Before we go there, we need to pick up the LTG that we had initially set down outside the CEMETERY area, when we were defending the portal we created, and bring it to the GAS STATION.

Whose side is the river on?

Now we have the LTG, we need to head to the RIVERSIDE area and find the second AETHER STORM CLOUD that has been there the entire game. We will repeat the same process here of the LTG canister by putting it down underneath the cloud and defending another portal for another 60 seconds. This will then again, spawn another high value target which will be in the form of an ABOMINATION zombie.

We will repeat the same process as we did the MANGLER HVT. Simply shoot him until he is spewing purple smoke and he is nearly dead, but don't kill him. Then when he is smoking, run to the right of the GAS STATION and pick up the second AETHER CANISTER that is sitting on top of the pedestal and place it down on one of the DARK AETHER FIELD TRAPS in the East Main Street area and activate it.

Then train the ABOMINATION to run into the traps pad next to your canister and when he dies, its soul will be sucked into the canister. Do the same thing again and pick up the CANISTER and take it back to the AETHER MACHINE in the CHURCH and place it inside. You will only have again 90 seconds to do this as the canister is leaking AETHER ENERGY so hop to it soldier.

Placing it in the machine means you are done and now ready to activate the main boss fight.
