Hi Guys,

The Aether Blade swaps out your usual Lethal Equipment and gives you a weapon you’ll actually want to throw… over and over again. This isn’t just any knife—it’s a seeking throwing knife that can wipe out three zombies per toss, no matter their health or what round you’re on.

With only a 5-second cooldown, it’s a fast, fun, and ridiculously satisfying lethal. The only catch is only one player can grab it during the Easter egg.

If playing in SOLO then it's yours for the taking. Playing in CO-OP however you may want to discuss who is picking it up, before starting an argument ensues. However there is another way to give another player the AETHER BLADE.

You can share the Aether Blade with your squad by using the Picky Eater minor augment on Vulture Aid. Just throw the Aether Blade at a zombie, and it’ll drop so your teammates can grab it too. Teamwork never felt so deadly!

We can pick this AETHER BLADE up in the DIRECTORS OFFICE, just behind the DIRECTORS DESK.

Arts and Crafts

First up, we will need to have completed returning the 3 MISSING PAINTINGS to the DIRECTORS OFFICE mini Easter egg, that rewards the player with 500 essence points per painting returned.

Now that we have returned the 3 paintings to their rightful places, we can progress onto obtaining the AETHER BLADE successfully.

Head to a CRAFTING TABLE location and craft a ARC-XD remote control car.

Once you have this, head down to the DARK ENTITY CONTAINMENT LOWER AREA which is just underneath the FORSAKEN.

When you get here, lets take your new remote control car out for a test drive. If you look at the set of steps that go back up to the middle floor in this area, that are on the left hand side, you will notice a bit of metal fencing that has a large gap at the bottom of it.

Deploy the ARC-XD here and drive it through the gap in this fence. You will notice there are broken wires you need to navigate through.

Drive between the gaps in the wires and turn the corner. You will now be at the back of the FORSAKEN and there will be a LARGE DARK AETHER CRYSTAL on the back of the wall.

Simply detonate the ARC-XD car here and it will blow up the crystal and creates a DARK AETHER PORTAL.

This portal will then start to slowly rise to the middle floor above.

Head back upstairs and on the side of the FORSAKEN where the AMMO BOX is, you will notice that several DARK AETHER CRYSTALS are growing on the wall.

Shoot all of these CRYSTALS and when you shoot the last one, a SAFE KEY should drop down.

Pick up this SAFE KEY then head to the DIRECTORS OFFICE area.

You will now need to have the MISTER PEEKS FIELD UPGRADE EQUIPPED. Once you have this, we can move onto the next step.

Behind the DIRECTORS DESK, there is a PAINTING. Use the MISTER PEEKS FIELD UPGRADE EQUIPPED and it will make the painting fall off the wall, revealing a SAFE.

Go up to the SAFE and press the use button on it and it will open up a DARK AETHER PORTAL which will spew out pulses of energy around the room.

This will spawn in a lot of zombies, including a DISCIPLE HVT, along with vermin etc.

However once you have successfully taken out the DISCIPLE, you can go up to the safe and you can pick up the AETHER BLADE, along with some INTEL items.
