It's that time again.....stage exit

Now we are back in ASWHOOD with OL' TESSIE again, if we haven't skipped to the next round yet, we should still be able to shoot 1 of the other faces of the FLOATING CLOCK TOWER that hovers above the BRIDGE in this area with the TURRET that we installed.

We then shoot the CLOCK FACE we shot with the OL TESSIE TURRET, with our WONDER WEAPON and then do a RELOAD / RETRIEVE action again and it will make our wonder weapon start to glow purple once more.

If this doesn't work, you might sometimes need to jump to the next round and then do it again, shoot the clock tower with the DG-2 TURRET, shoot the face with the wonder weapon again and retrieve the energy from it.

Our next port of call will be in the area called EXIT 115. 

Drive over to this area and one thing you might notice while in this area is that there are lightning strikes happening now and again at this location.

Now that we are here, we will be doing 3 steps to this part of the Easter egg, which will need to be completed within a very short time frame of 60 seconds.

The good news is that if you fail it, you can do it again of course.

To begin these steps, jump onto the SERVICE STATION ROOFTOP and look for the LARGE CLOCK that is on top of the building.




Simply shoot the wonder weapon at this clock and a PURPLE FLASH OF ENERGY will burst out from it. This will then activate the 60 second timer on the left hand side of the screen which says "Lightning Strike Ends In".

This will also make 3 FROZEN COLOURED LIGHTNING BOLTS initially appear in the area which are YELLOW, PINK and BLUE.



We need in this area is activate 3 special zombies and lure them to their corresponding colour of lightning bolt before the 60 seconds time limit we have is up. If you lure them into their corresponding lightning bolt, they will disappear after the 30 seconds when time resumes.

Any other zombies you did not get to their relevant coloured lightning bolt will need to wait until you get to the next EVEN ROUND. Then you can repeat this process over again.

Don't worry if you kill the special zombies by accident, they will respawn the next time you activate the clock to start the 60 second timer again.

The 3 special zombies we need to lure into their respective coloured lightning bolts dotted around the rooftops in this area are:

  • The waitress - Needs lured to the BLUE LIGHTNING
  • The Truck Driver - Needs lured to the RED LIGHTNING
  • The Mechanic - Needs lured to the YELLOW LIGHTNING


Awakening the Truck Driver Zombie

What we should do first is get in OL' TESSIE and use its BEAM ATTACK on the RED FREIGHT CONTAINER just outside REBA's DINER. When you hit it with the beam attack, it will awaken a special type of zombie called the TRUCKER ZOMBIE.




Guide him to where the RED LIGHTNING BOLT is located. When he touches it he will freeze within it. This is on the ROOFTOP of the EXIT 115 area.


When the 60 seconds is up, he will disappear into a WISP.


Awakening the Waitress Zombie

Then make your way into REBA'S DINER and MELEE the CASH REGISTER which is on the countertop beside where the WAITRESS is lying on the floor beside the counter.



This will cause the CASH REGISTER to spring open, with, unfortunately no money inside.

However it will wake up the special zombie called THE WAITRESS ZOMBIE.


Lure this WAITRESS ZOMBIE into the BLUE LIGHTNING BOLT on the rooftop of the DINER and the same will happen to her if she touches it when the 60 seconds is up and become a WISP.


Awakening the Mechanic Zombie

To awaken the MECHANIC, go to the MCDOUGAL'S SERVICE STATION and call in KLAUS. When he arrives, command him to go to where the CAR RAMP / LIFT is located in the mechanics place.

He will then stomp the ground and awaken the MECHANIC zombie.

Lure the MECHANIC up to the rooftop of the SERVICE STATION.


When you finally complete getting all the zombies into the the lightning bolts, they will eventually turn to WISPS and we can move onto the next step.

Remember, killing any of these 3 special zombies, they will respawn again for you to try this. 

If you haven't got all the special zombies to their coloured lightning bolt within the first 60 seconds, wait for the next even numbered round and try it again. Only the zombies you haven't got to their lightning bolt will respawn again.

Any zombies you did get to the lightning, will not be respawning.



Cosmically Speaking
Our next area we will need to head to after completing the previous step, is the ZARYA COSMODROME. Repeat the process with the TURRET BARREL mounted on OL' TESSIE and shoot the floating clock at the ASHWOOD BRIDGE area, then shoot it with your wonder weapon to get it to start glowing purple.

We can then head over to the ZARYA COSMODROME, where we will be halting 2 RADAR STATIONS that are spinning around like mad men and....quite frankly....make me dizzy watching them.

All we have to do is locate these spinning RADAR STATIONS and shoot them with the WONDER WEAPON. When we do this, there will be a SPARK OF PURPLE AETHER ENERGY emanating from the centre of them as they grind to a halt.

1 of the RADAR STATIONS is just to the fight of the WISP TEA PERK MACHINE, on top of the ROOF OF THE CONTROL ROOM.






The other is located near the exit which leads out into the foggy area called the CRASHED ROCKET. It just just on the outskirts of the ZARYA COSMODROME.

Shoot both of these and they will both put on the brakes and stop moving entirely.

If taking the JUMP PAD to the ZARYA COSMODROME, both RADAR STATIONS can be seen clearly from the air via a birds eye view:





Once both RADAR STATIONS have stopped spinning, we need to head into the CONTROL ROOM which is directly underneath the RADAR STATION beside the WISP TEA PERK MACHINE.

In here you will find some COMPUTER MONITORS that are randomly showing symbols every now and again. In the corner of this room, you will find there are 2 MONITORS that are very close together showing 6 random symbols.

These symbols change every playthrough that are shown.





Take a note of these symbols and the order they appear in.

These SYMBOLS speed out a 6 LETTER WORD and are related to the CIPHER WE USED IN YURI's LAB to decipher the CHALKBOARD CODE behind the CHEMISTRY EQUIPMENT.

We will need to work out what word it is spelling. Some playthroughs the words being spelt are ROCKET, ENGINE and LAUNCH are some of the known words. Here is an image of 4 known words and their corresponding symbols.


When we have the 6 symbols and order they appear in, staying in the CONTROL ROOM and to the left of these 2 MONITORS, there will be another set of 6 MONITORS ON THE WALL.

These monitors will have NUMBERS appearing on them, as well as BLUE WISPS of energy smoking from them. These NUMBERS correspond to letters of the alphabet.





The unique thing about this alphabet is that A starts at position zero (0) in this alphabet, kind of like an array index in programming, the first element in an array is index 0. B would be position 1, C position 2 etc. Just take the position of the letter in our normal alphabet and subtract 1 from each to match its position in this alphabet.

When we know the word we need to spell, we simply need to shoot these 6 COMPUTER SCREENS when the correct number appears for the letter we are looking for. Shoot it in the RED BUTTON in the RIGHT HAND CORNER OF EACH SCREEN.





When you have done this correctly for all 6 SCREENS, there will be a WHITE FLASH on the screen and the BLUE WISPS will have turned to GREY WISPS, with their energy going towards the ROCKET on the LAUNCH PAD outside.

The rocket will then take off for destination unknown and you will have completed this step successfully.





If the word has been spelt incorrectly, you will need to go to the next round to try this step again.

Now head back to ASHWOOD again and get ready for the last mini Easter egg quest. Simply shoot the DG-2 TURRET BARREL GUN at the floating CLOCK TOWER at the ASHWOOD BRIDGE one more time, then shoot the wonder weapon at it and retrieve the PURPLE ENERGY into your gauntlet to get us ready for the final stage.

Blackwater Lake is a bit cold this time of year
Now we need to head over to the BLACKWATER LAKE area to complete the last of the 4 tasks for the Easter egg, before we venture into the final boss fight.

With your GAUNTLET GLOWING PURPLE, head to the back of the CABIN and where the small BOAT PIER is located.





You will notice there is a BLUE WISP floating here, interact with it and it will explode with energy and turn GREY.

Then head back into the CABIN and go to the room where the PROJECTOR IS BEAMING A BLURRED IMAGE ONTO THE PROJECTOR SCREEN.

With your charged gauntlet, simply shoot the PROJECTOR and a burst of PURPLE ENERGY will emit from it. The images on the PROJECTOR SCREEN Will then come into focus.




It will cycle through 4 IMAGES in a RANDOM ORDER every play through that you need to memorise in the order they appear on here, so take note. They are images of the cabin and the area or outbuildings around it.





Now that you know the order the photos appeared in, these photos are giving you clues to the locations of 4 FILM REELS that you will need to shoot with your WONDER WEAPON in the order they appeared on the PROJECTOR.

If you shoot one of them in the wrong order, it will trigger a JUMP SCARE and you will have to start again on another round. 

For the order of the 4 photos we seen, here is where the FILM REELS are located in the photo for each area:

Back of the Cabin - Under the Steps
If we head out of the back of the CABIN, there is a set of steps coming down the back. There is a FILM REEL hidden underneath the STEPS, partly embedded in the snow.






Simply shoot each FILM REEL with the wonder weapon and if you have shot it correctly it will glow PURPLE and disappear.

Upstairs in the Cabin - to the Left of the Power Switch
Go up the stairs to the top floor of the CABIN, then take a left and head past the POOL / SNOOKER table, to where the window is with the POWER SWITCH for this area.






On top of a SHELF to the left of the POWER SWITCH there is another reel here. Shoot it with the WONDER WEAPON and it will also disappear if done correctly.

It is slightly harder to see as its laying down flat on top of the shelf. Shoot it and lets move onto the next one.

Boat House - Roof Trusses
In the freezing and dilapidated BOATHOUSE, there is a FILM REEL balancing on some beams / roof trusses of the building.







It is much easier to see and shoot then the one that was in the CABIN area. Shoot it so we can get the last FILM REEL and get the heck out of here.

Tool Shed - On the metal shelves to the right of where FUMIGATOR spawns
In the TOOL SHED there is a set of metal shelves which has the FILM REEL nestled between some boxes and carry crates. 


Simply shoot the FILM REEL and we are done.....don't be a tool......excuse the pun.

Klaus the champion box-er
Now we have shot the final FILM REEL, a BLUE WHISP will be swirling around this last reel being shot. 








You now need to CALL IN KLAUS to the area with the radio at the back of the CABIN, then head up the stairs to the BEDROOM of the CABIN, where the SPEED COLA PERK MACHINE is located.







In here a box will have appeared and you need to move KLAUS directly in front of it. When he gets to it, he will pick something up from the box and then he will start to make his way, very slowly, down to the DOCK area at the back of the CABIN.

He will then stop there and be staring at the LARGE PYRAMID floating overhead.



This means you are now ready to do the very last step in order to initiate the FINAL BOSS FIGHT.

Take my wisp awayyyyyy.....or my breath!
Before doing anything at this point, drive OL' TESSIE over to where KLAUS is standing in the BLACKWATER LAKE area at the DOCK. Keep the engine running.

When your ready, interact with him which will trigger a VOTE for the "FINAL ENCOUNTER". When everyone agrees to start this, get into OL' TESSIE immediately, as you will have to drive around the map collecting WISPS in various locations, within a set time limit in order to get to the boss fight.

Get into the car after you interact with KLAUS and wait about 15 seconds or so. If you look up, you will notice that the PYRAMID is firing out BLUE WISPS of energy through the sky.




These will eventually land all over the map in the foggy areas where you travelled between the main areas in the past.

When this step is activated, we will need to drive around the following locations, collecting 3 wisps in each location. Here is an optimal route to collect all of these WISPS before the timer runs out:
  • MONOLITH FOREST - Collect 3 WISPS here and then drive through PROJECT JANUS PLAZA to the COLLAPSED TOWER area.



  • COLLAPSED TOWER - 3 more WISPS are in this area and need collected. Then drive through VANDORN'S FARM area to the GROUNDED SHIP.
  • GROUNDED SHIP - This has 3 WISPS on the top deck of the ship itself as well as underneath the ship and around it. Then drive on into ASHWOOD area direction.



  • LOST CABINS - when you get to the ASHWOOD area, slam on the brakes and do a hard right to go up to the LOST CABINS area, where there is another 3 glorious WISPS waiting for you. Then head back to the BLACKWATER LAKE direction.



If you make it within time, when you hit the last WISP, a WHITE FLASH will fill the screen and you will be teleported via purple teleporter to the final boss fight, which takes place in an area called "VEYTHARION'S SEPULCHER".

Crunch Time, The Point of no Return
When you enter the boss area, he will make a dramatic entrance coming down from the ceiling and then pausing in the middle for a second or two.....as if it was his super hero landing or he was waiting for an applause.....which we are fresh out of!






The boss comes in the form of, you guessed it based on the areas name, an ugly looking dude with bad teeth called "Veytharion".

This boss fight is different from any other boss fights you have done in the zombies universe, mainly because it is the vehicle that is used to do the most damage to the boss and is part of the strategy to defeat him, rather than just inflicting as much damage on them with your most super power and Pack A Punched weapons.




Basically what we need to do here is, you will notice that when he came down form the ceiling above, there is a set of STEPS in the centre of this area that forms a RAMP from 4 different angles.



This is to give you the hint that you will be using this ramp to launch OL' TESSIE off these stairs and crash into the boss at certain points to deal damage to the boss and we will show you how to do it right now.

Of course if you are in CO-OP MODE, this boss fight will be much easier as there will be roles each player can play at this point.

One person can drive OL' TESSIE while someone uses the DG-2 TURRET BALL on the roof to deal damage to the boss while driving around and drawing fire from other players who may not have made it into OL' TESSIE in time. 




The boss will be firing out RED FIREBALLS that have a slight homing effect on them so watch out as they will be coming for you.

Driving around constantly helps disperse them so a large amount of them doesn't hit any one person at the same time and make them go down very quickly.

BOSS TACTICS
Basically what we need to do in the first phase of this fight is charge up OL' TESSIES BOOST as much as we can. 

When we charge the boost and it is ready to be activated, drive towards the STEPS that incline in the middle and hit the BOOST FEATURE of Ol' Tessie and it will launch it into the air and smash into the boss, throwing him backwards.



For added damage as your about to crash into him, activate the BEAM ATTACK of Ol' Tessie to deal maximum damage. This will take a fair chunk of his health off this kind of attack.

As you hit him more and more, WEAK POINTS will start to appear on the MOUTHS of the boss. 

Whoever is manning the DG-2 TURRET, get them to focus on these points to deal another large amount of damage, as well as any team mates running around the area who may not have chosen to get into the car.

Focus all firepower on these weak points.

While the battle is going on, do not forget that Ol' Tessie will be taking damage when you launch it and hit the boss each time. Just because your in the car does not mean it or yourself is invincible so be careful. All this damage can add up quickly.





When the boss fires out some of the homing missiles, they will also stay on the ground when they land. This acts like landmines and they will stay there for a short period of time, before they disappear. This is like the spores that exploded in the foggy areas when you hit them so be careful not to drive over them during this battle.....as they hurt!

You will notice that GREEN SPORES do appear during this fight and this is how you heal the OL' TESSIE VEHICLE. Green is good, drive into them, red....bad....avoid.

It is also good for someone if the vehicle has taken heavy damage to have the AETHER SHROUD FIELD UPGRADE equipped as it takes a bit of time to repair the vehicle but they can do it without being interrupted or having to dodge and run from all the zombies that will also be spawning in this area.

He also can go a little nuts and start spinning wildly while emanating blue energy out of his mouths. He will then try to crash into you while doing this.

But essentially, we just rinse and repeat the same type of thing to damage him:
  • Keep shooting him until the Ol' Tessie's BOOST is available
  • RAM into the boss with the boost and shoot with the BEAM ATTACK of Ol' Tessie at same time
  • Avoid getting hit, repair the vehicle by hitting green spores or player repairing vehicle
  • Shoot weak points that appear in the mouth's of the boss the more you ram into him, the more appear over time, with the DG-2 TURRET and team mates normal weapons
Try not to stay still too long in this boss fight in case a lot of the missile attacks hit you at once or the constant hits from zombies as well on the car wears it's health down.

When things change slightly
After a certain amount of damage has been dealt, the boss behaviour will change slightly.

There will be times when his health bar will say he is IMMUNE to attacks.

When this happens, the person manning the turret will have to keep shooting the boss, who will now be constantly spinning with blue energy flying out of him from all directions, until they see a BLUE PILLAR OF LIGHT appearing within the arena.

When this happens, the driver of the truck will need to get to it as soon as possible and drive through it. When you drive through it, a BLUE WISP will follow behind the vehicle and will give you the EXTRA POWER you need for the DG-2 TURRET to start to deal damage to the boss again.

Make sure to get to the BLUE LIGHT as it will disappear fairly quickly and the boss also seems to gravitate towards it also.





When you hit it, the vehicle will be hit with a BOLT OF BLUE LIGHTNING and it will make you feel like THOR, being super charged by the gods of thunder and lightning.

This will give you more power for the vehicle and you can ram him again using the boost and when you do, it will knock off his immune status and allow you to deal more damage to him.

When you ram into him, eventually it will start to open up weak spots in his mouths and underneath him again. 



Make sure when this opportunity arises, you take it and shoot into these, which appear underneath at the bottom of his mouths.





Keep rinsing and repeating this process again until a MAX AMMO SPAWNS INTO THE MAP. That's when you know you will have completed this phase of the boss fight.

Once this happens we go back to what we were doing at the start by driving around, charging up the boost and ramming into him, then using the turret to deal damage to him and shooting the weak spots that appear.

The more you ram and hit him, the more weak spots appear.





As we get near the end he fires more missiles more frequently and gets much more angrier.

Also if you get to close with the vehicle near the end of the battle, he can actually swallow the vehicle whole, destroying it instantly.

He will try his best to destroy you at the end by implementing a new attack which is a PURPLE LASER that deals a lot of damage for a long period of time so be careful here.

The best way to avoid it is to wait for him to charge the laser, then when he is about to fire it, smash into him with the truck so that it knocks him back and the laser is shot high in the arena and into the sky for most of its activation.




The laser seems to do a lot of damage to OL' TESSIE very easily so make sure to drive evasive manoeuvres as best you can when its firing.


Once his health is down to zero there will be a huge PURPLE EXPLOSION and the boss will be no more.




This will then trigger the end cut scene for this zombies map.
