Easter Egg Guide: Part 1 -- Part 2 -- Part 3 --
Hi guys,
the first Zursa Bear spawns into the Ashes of the Damned zombies map in ROUND 16, however there is a way you can get it to spawn in much sooner than this, if you so wish.
In order to do this, we will first need to obtain the NECROFLUID GAUNTLET in this map.
Find out how to obtain the NECROFLUID GAUNTLET in my Easter Egg Guide Part 1.
Once we have this, all we have to do is go to the ZARYA COSMODROME and we will be searching for 3 SKULLS within this area.
We will use the NECROFLUID GAUNTLET to shoot these 3 SKULLS, then use the RELOAD / RETRIEVE function of it which will then pull the SKULL towards us, to retrieve it.
Let's find out the exact 3 locations these skulls are playing hide and seek in.
SKULL LOCATION 1 - SUPPORT SYSTEMS area in ZARYA COSMODROME
Underneath the WALL GUN BUY for the D52 MIRAGE in the SUPPORT SYSTEMS area, just behind the CRAFTING TABLE, there is a gap in the fence with some chain link fencing missing on the bottom sections of railings along here.
Simply crouch down and look through the open bottom railing section and you should see a SKULL in the distance. Simply shoot it the the NECROFLUID GAUNTLET and reload / retrieve and the SKULL will be pulled towards you.
You will notice that the SKULL will emit some energy before it is pulled towards you.
We will rinse and repeat this process for retrieving all skulls.
SKULL LOCATION 2 - FIRE PIT area in ZARYA COSMODROME
The next skull location is on the right hand side of the ROCKET LAUNCH PAD in the cosmodrome.
If you use the ZIPLINE on the right hand side to drop down into the FIRE PIT area, you will notice that if you look out of the WINDOW where zombies come through into this area, above you slightly is a set of STEEL BEAMS joined together.
It should be on the corner of the beams where it meets on the right hand side.
Rinse and repeat the process of shooting it until it releases energy, then retrieve it again.
SKULL LOCATION 3 - ROCKET LAUNCH PAD area in ZARYA COSMODROME
Where the main ROCKET is sitting on the landing pad in this area, there is a ZOMBIE SPAWN window covered in blood to the right hand side of the rocket.
Kneel down and look inside this zombie spawn to the right hand side of it.
You should see a SKULL quite close to the front of this window.
Rinse and repeat previous steps to obtain it and it will then spawn in a ZURSA bear into the map for you to fight.
Zursa enters the fight with a ROAR, letting you know its arrived, as well as being covered in glowing orange blobs, which is its biggest weak points. Focus these first. Popping the blobs not only interrupts Zursa’s attacks but also triggers a brief vulnerability phase where your damage skyrockets. Clearing these weak points early makes the entire encounter far easier to control.
Use Ol' Tessie’s Abomination Beam
One of the fastest ways to chunk Zursa’s health is by blasting it with Ol’ Tessie’s Abomination Beam. If you land the killing blow with this ability, Zursa drops a special reward: the Mysterious Limb quest item.
(Note: You’ll need the Abomination Heads equipped on Ol’ Tessie to activate this beam.)
Watch Out for the Swarm Attack
Zursa can unleash swarms of bee-like minions that streak toward players and apply damage over time. Once they hit the ground, they leave behind hazardous zones that continue to deal damage to anyone standing in them. Keep moving and avoid staying in one spot to minimize the threat from these swarm fields.
Zursa Rewards
Defeating Zursa with the Abomination Beam guarantees the Mysterious Limb, so make sure to finish it off with Ol’ Tessie if you’re hunting this quest item.
