Hi guys,
In Citadelle Des Morts there is a secret cut scene that is only available to a specific operator within the game when playing zombies, after round 13 it seemed to have become available for me most times. This of course is the MAYA OPERATOR SECRET CUTSCENE Easter egg.
If you want to see a little bit of extra story developing from the opening cut scene, then this is a nice little side Easter egg to do. Not only will it progress the story, it will also reward you with a LEGENDARY GS45 PISTOL with several attachments which no one is going to say no to.
Let's find out how to activate this cool Easter egg.
Unlucky number 13....suddenly not so unlucky anymore!
So, as mentioned previously, before we load into the Citadelle Des Morts map, we will need to change our operator to be MAYA from the operators list in zombies. Once we spawn into the game, all we have to do is wait until we get to ROUND 13 onwards.
You will have needed to open up the map to get to the DINING HALL and its upper floor. Once we get to round 13 or upwards, the RADIO in the DINING HALL UPPER FLOOR will become interactable and you will hear someone talking on the radio.
When the dialogue from the old radio equipment is completed, it will allow you to interact with the wooden door to the right hand side of it. Interact with it and it will take us into the CELLAR area.
This CELLAR area will initially have a tight corridor which has VERMIN SPAWN holes dotted along it. They seem to spawn in droves of around 4 or 5 at a time. As you kill each wave, try to get into the main CELLAR as quickly as you can to stop them constantly spawning.
When you get into the main CELLAR, a normal DOPPELGHAST SPECIAL ZOMBIES will charge towards you. Simply take him out and it will leave you and only one other ELITE SPECIAL ZOMBIES who is called LAURENT standing at the end of the CELLAR, waving his tentacles around like crazy.
There is no wait out of the CELLAR unfortunately until you kill LAURENT, as stuck to his mouth you can see he has the KEY that is needed to open the door he was guarding at the other end of the CELLAR.
Killing him is actually not that difficult if before you came in here, you had at least one weapon Pack A Punched. I have found a Pack A Punched shotgun works very well on him and kills him within about 15-20 seconds.
Don't worry about running out of ammo if you don't have a Pack A Punched weapon, as there is an AMMO CRATE to purchase additional bullets down here. Also don't worry about running out of money if you can in with no credits, as while fighting LAURENT, more VERMIN will be spawning in for you to kill which will top up your credits as you battle him.
Once you get the key, head to the end of the CELLAR and unlock the PADLOCK on the door. This will then take you down a set of stairs winding to the right and you will just catch FRANCO making into what he thinks is a safe room.......when he knows fine rightly......no room is safe from Maya.
Maya will then introduce Franco to her talent for opening doors without the key in explosive fashion. When she enters the room she will confront Franco.....not only getting revenge for her brother.......but closure for herself.
Once the cut scene is over, you will respawn automatically back into the DINING HALL UPPER FLOOR area, just outside the wooden door you entered into the CELLAR. When you exit, look down on the ground and you will see the GS45 LEGENDARY PISTOL ready to pick up as your reward.
