Hi guys,
here is a guide on how we can get a FREE RANDOM PERK in Shattered Veil zombies....as well as also letting you in on a little secret on getting a FREE WUNDERWAFFE DG-2 wonder weapon.
Let's find out how we get these 2 treats......as the magic word here is FREE which it makes it all the more worthwhile.
First up, pre-requisite check list for the WUNDERWAFFE DG-2
Before we can attempt to get the free WUNDEREWAFFE DG-2 wonder weapon, we need to have the following 2 objectives completed:
- Have the RAYGUN MARK II obtained from the ARMORY by doing the quest to get it for free or from the MYSTERY BOX.
- We need to have the RAYGUN MARK II upgraded to any one of its 3 variants which is either of the P, W or R variants.

It doesn't matter which variant you upgrade the RAYGUN MARK II to, just do the one you are most used to doing, can be done most easily or in the quickest amount of time.
If you have read my raygun guide previously mentioned above, you will have had to do one of the mini variant upgrade quests where you complete a variant specific Easter egg quest.
For example if you chose to do the RAYGUN MARK II W variant upgrade, you will have had to go to the GRAND FOYER area and placed the light from the BANQUET HALL onto the wall which is missing, then complete the Simon says style Easter egg with the lights to open up the secret area that leads you into the DISTILLERY. You will then activate the computer beside the LARGE PAINTING in here, charge it up with zombie souls to make the PORTAL appear inside the painting.
You will then meet the GHOSTLY FIGURE in the LIMINIAL DISTILLERY who will want a DRINK. You will then go find the BELL in the STUDY area, then obtain the BRAIN ROT ammo from the ARSENAL and turn a zombie into a friendly. Then go up to the OVERLOOK area and place the bell down on the BAR and RING THE BELL so that your friendly zombie will jump over and retrieve the DRINKS BOTTLE for you. This will give you the RITUAL ITEM you need to take into the portal with you.
You take this back to the PORTAL in the LIMINIAL DISTELLERY and beat the mini boss that appears in there. This will then charge up the SENTINEL ARTEFACT one third of the way and you will hear a quote from RICHTOFEN for the first time.
This means we should be at the right stage to go and get our WUNDERWAFFE DG-2 wonder weapon. Just remember, you can do any 1 of the 3 variant upgrades so do whichever your most comfortable with.
Now we need to head to the NURSEY area and underneath one of the beds in here, is a PILE OF CLOTHES which is smoking a PURPLE HAZE. Simply shoot this PILE OF CLOTHES and it will explode.
A PURPLE CLOUD OF SMOKE will appear above the bed and then slowly disappear as it moves away from the bed.
You now want to head out to where the EAST BALCONY area is and over to where there is a SET OF TABLE AND CHAIRS near the ELEMENTAL POP MACHINE is located. In this area, the 2 entrances that lead to the STUDY area have a table and chairs up against the wall in between them.
If you look on the CHAIR, you will notice that there is a BOOK GLOWING PURPLE on the seat. Simply shoot it and a PURPLE ORB OF SMOKE will appear out of it.
When this PURPLEY BLUEY CLOUD OF SMOKE APPEARS, you will notice that it have items floating around in the smoke. What you have to do here is shoot these items until they are destroyed.
Once they are destroyed, the BOOK itself will appear in the smoke on its own and you will have a limited amount of time to do as much damage as you can to this BOOK item.
After enough damage has been done the hit marker on the last shot will turn to a red X and it will be destroyed....for now. It will then fade away in a PUFF OF PURPLE SMOKE and disappear complete from this area.....great stuff!
If you fail any of these steps at any point, simply progress onto the next round and then come back to where the smoking item was and reactivate it again for that particular step, so no need to worry if you don't get it right the first time.....or anytime.
We now need to head over to the GARDEN POND area and if you look to the far right of where you spawn into this map, you will notice another SMOKING PURPLE item up on top of a wallet. Simply shoot it and repeat the process over again.
Shoot the items floating around the PURPLEY BLUE SMOKE, then when the book appears itself, get laid into it with as much firepower as you can to make the smoke disappear.
In this ball of smoke, you will notice that there is a lot more objects floating around the outside and you will have a limited amount of time again to destroy these as well as destroying the book when it appears on its own.
Once this smoke ball has been destroyed, we can move onto the final area where it will spawn, which is the GRAND FOYER area in the mansion.
When you enter the front door, simply turn left and there is a small TABLE AND CHAIR where there is another BOOK sitting on the table that is EMITTING PURPLE SMOKE. This is also to the left of the JUGGERNOG PERK MACHINE.
Simply shoot the book again to activate the PURPLE SMOKE and the objects around it again. The only difference here is there is a ton more items and when you get to the BOOK spawning in itself, the time limit to deal the amount of damage needed to destroy it has been reduced my quite a margin.
It is slightly tougher this last part to destroy it in a much quicker time scale than the previous steps. Once you have destroyed the purple smoke, it will leave some objects floating and suspended in mid air. That's when you know you have completed this step successfully.
Once the objects are suspended in mid air, head over to where the ELEVATOR SHAFT is in the BANQUET HALL area and take the ZIPLINE down into the MAINFRAME CHAMBER.
When in the lift shaft at the bottom, look up and you will notice a PUFF OF PURPLE SMOKE moving around in the LIFT SHAFT. Simply shoot it and it will reward you with the WUNDERWAFFE DG-2 WONDERWEAPON for free!
Just remember to pick it up before you wonder off as it will be laying on the floor.
Free Random Perk
There is another little Easter egg that can help you get a FREE PERK in Shattered Veil. Before you can do this you need to have the RAY GUN MARK II W VARIANT and progressed it mini quest up to the point where you have charged the PAINTING up with ZOMBIE SOULS to access the LIMINIAL DISTILLERY via the PORTAL it creates.
Unfortunately you will not be able to do this until you have got the Easter egg up to this point.
Once this is active, then you can place the BELL on the BAR in the OVERLOOK area.. When the bell is on the bar countertop, keep ringing it a total of 115 times. Once you do this the FREE PERK will appear and give you a random reward.
