Hi guys,

Here is how to a glimpse into the character Nikolai's past in the Call Of Duty Zombies map Astra Malorum.

There is an Easter egg that gives us a slight glimpse into his story, just like TANK DEMPSEY'S character gave us a glimpse into his in ASHES OF THE DAMNED map with an Easter egg related to his story.

Before we attempt this Easter egg, we simply need to acquire 3 MOLOTOV COCKTAILS from either the CRAFTING TABLE or getting it from fallen zombies, it doesn't matter.

Once we have the 3 MOLOTOV'S, head over to the ABYSSAL RIM area of the map and find the LAMP POST near the AMMO BOX that over looks SATURN in the background.

It is a beautiful view and will take your breath away.

When you find the LAMP POST to the right of the AMMO BOX, all you have to do is set it on fire at its base by throwing the MOLOTOV at its base.

Once you set it on fire, pay close attention to the ground, as you will see FOOTSTEPS starting to appear that are on fire.

Follow these FLAMING FOOTSTEPS and they should take you to the base of the STAIRS just around the corner from the LAMP POST, heading towards the STAIRS closest to the AMMO BOX.

You will notice the FLAMING FOOTSTEPS stop at the bottom of these STAIRS, simple throw another MOLOTOV onto the bottom section of the STAIRS and the footsteps will continue to appear, imprinting onwards.

Go to the top of the stairs and the FLAMING FOOTSTEPS will continue onward until they come to a BRANCH at the top of the STAIRS.

Use the final 3rd MOLOTOV on this BRANCH and it will set it on fire once more and the footsteps will continue towards a CAVE you can see, making an opening in-between some of the rocks.

Just to the left of this CAVE OPENING, there is a GOAT TOY sitting on a FLATTISH PIECE OF ROCK. 

Pick this GOAT TOY up and it will leave Nikolai's hands and float off into the cave, where you will shortly follow.

You will hear dialogue from Nikolai periodically as he describes what has happened in his past, when he was in Afghanistan and how he lost his men, as you progress through the tunnel.

While going through this cave, you will eventually be chased by CALTHERIS. 

All you have to do is try to make your way to the end of the cave while he chases you, as you try to exit the cave however, there will be RAVAGERS spawning trying to slow you down in the process.

Whether you make it to the end or not, either way, you will be greeted with a small DEATH CUT SCENE SEQUENCE to let you know that you have successfully completed this side Easter egg of Nikolai and his back story.

You will then be returned to the cave entrance where the GOAT TOY was located.

As a reward for this, as it is not all for nothing, you will be given some LEGENDARY LOOT when you exit the cave, usually in the form of weapons, salvage etc.

Which is a nice bonus.
