Hi guys,

Here is how to activate the Tom Kane tribute in the Black Ops 7 Zombies map, Kowakujo!

Tom Kane voiced the character in the game of Takeo Masaki. Here is some background about him taken from WIKIPEDIA.

Full article and reference below taken from Tom Kane - Wikipedia

"Tom Kane (April 15, 1962 – May 18, 2026) was an American voice actor known for his work in animation and video games.

He is best recognized for voicing Yoda in the Star Wars franchise and Takeo Masaki in the Call of Duty series, particularly in the Zombies mode of Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Kane's contributions to the gaming industry were significant, and he was also known for his roles in various animated series and video games, including The Powerpuff Girls and The Angry Beavers. He passed away in May 2026, leaving behind a legacy of iconic characters and memorable performances."

Activating the Tribute

In order to activate this amazing tribute, we need to head over to the CENTRAL COURTYARD area, where the is a large TREE WITH PINK LEAVES on it. You guessed it, a CHERRY BLOSSOM tree.

If we go over to the base of the tree, we will see a small TASSLE hanging off the ROPE that surrounds the tree. If you look down on the GREEN COLOURED MOSS ROCKS below this TASSLE, you will notice a MARKING, which are TOM KANE'S initials.

Now all you need to do is stare up at the huge tree without moving, for about 15-20 seconds and eventually your character will have a GLOW around them. When this happens a sound will play and some Japanese style music will start to play, along with some quote from Tom, as his Black Ops character TAKEO.

Then a mini cutscene will play with TAKEO underneath the CHERRY BLOSSOM TREE.

It is a very fitting tribute to someone who has worked on Black Ops games for so long and had given so much to the video games and entertainment industry.

Thanks for reading as always guys.

Henry
