Map Layout: All Areas

Hi guys,

If you've been exploring every hidden secret on Kowakujō in Black Ops 7 Zombies, you've probably heard players talking about the mysterious Gacha Machine. This hidden side Easter egg gives you the chance to earn permanent weapon charms with unique gameplay effects but there's a catch. You only get one spin per round, and the reward is completely random.

Some of the charms are incredibly useful, while others... well, let's just say you might wish you'd saved your spin.

Here's everything we currently know about unlocking the Gacha Machine, how it works, and every confirmed weapon charm available so far.

How to Unlock the Gacha Machine

Before you can start spinning for rewards, you'll need to unlock the machine first. Thankfully, it's a fairly straightforward Easter egg once you know where to go.

  • Wait for a Dark Aether Fissure

First, wait until a Dark Aether fissure appears near the Double Tap perk machine in the Kitchens area.

  • Enter the Euphoric State

Head over to the Cherry Blossom Tree and melee it three times. This will activate the Euphoric state, which is shown by a pink aura surrounding your operator.

Find the Hidden Machine

While you're still Euphoric, make your way to the Kitchen Courtyard, next to the Arsenal. Melee the hidden Gacha Machine to activate the Easter egg.

It is actually hiding inside a WOODEN BARREL that when you melee it 2 or 3 times, will break open to reveal it.

Collect the Yellow Orbs

Now the machine is visible, melee the machine several more times and a yellow orb will appear. It will fly around the map somewhere, until eventually crashing into the ground and creating a YELLOW CIRCLE on the floor.

Simply walk through this CIRCLE and the YELLOW ORB will take off again and move to a new location on the map.

Walk through the yellow circle, then continue collecting each new yellow orb that spawns, when it moves to its newer location.

You'll need to collect roughly eight yellow orbs in total.

You need to complete going through all of the YELLOW CIRCLES, while keeping your over charged health ABOVE 250 HITPOINTS.

When you fall below 250, you are no longer over charged, so you need to remain over charged the whole time you are going through these YELLOW CIRCLES.

Then, your job here is complete!

Once you've collected all eight orbs, the Gacha Machine becomes permanently unlocked for the rest of that match, allowing you to use it throughout your game.

How the Gacha Machine Works

The Gacha Machine is pretty simple once it's unlocked:

  • You receive one spin per round.
  • Every spin awards one random weapon charm.
  • Each charm grants a unique gameplay effect.
  • The effects remain active for the rest of the match unless otherwise stated.
  • You cannot choose which charm you receive, so every spin is a gamble.

That random element is part of the fun—but it can also be a little painful depending on your luck.

Every Known Gacha Machine Weapon Charm

While the community has confirmed that there are five total weapon charms available from the Gacha Machine, only three of their effects have been reliably identified so far.

Pack-a-Punch Remover

Probably the least popular reward in the pool.

This charm instantly removes the Pack-a-Punch upgrade from your currently equipped weapon. If you've already invested a lot of Essence into upgrading your favourite gun, this is definitely the roll you don't want to see.

Plant Food

This is one of the better outcomes.

After receiving this charm, zombies begin dropping Plant Food pickups. These restore your health in a similar way to the Cherry Blossom Boost, giving you another useful source of healing during hectic rounds.

Free Euphoric State

Another excellent reward.

Instead of repeatedly activating the Cherry Blossom Tree, this charm grants you access to the Euphoric buff without needing to trigger it manually, making future gameplay much more convenient.

What About the Other Two Charms?

At the time of writing, players have confirmed that five charms exist, but the final two charm effects have not yet been conclusively documented by the community.

As more players continue experimenting with the Easter egg, it's likely we'll see those remaining rewards confirmed in the near future.

Is the Gacha Machine Worth Using?

Overall, yes, but with a warning.

If you manage to roll Plant Food or the Free Euphoric State, you'll gain some genuinely useful advantages that can make surviving higher rounds noticeably easier.

On the other hand, there's always the possibility of landing the Pack-a-Punch Remover, which can undo a significant investment in your weapon upgrades.

For that reason, many experienced players choose to wait until they've built up plenty of Essence before taking a spin. That way, if luck isn't on their side, recovering isn't nearly as painful.

As with any good gacha system, it's all part of the gamble. Sometimes you'll walk away with an incredible permanent buff, and sometimes the machine reminds you that the house always has a sense of humour.

This machine will give you 1 of 5 RANDOM WEAPON CHARMS, with each having their own secret ability.

Thanks for reading as always.

Henry
