Hi guys,

here is how to Get the Twins Mask in Rex Infernus in Black Ops 7 Zombies.

In order to obtain this awesome TWINS MASK, you will need to head into a dark forest and play children's games for several rounds while the undead attempt to turn you into lunch.

Welcome to the Twins Mask quest on Rex Infernus.

The Twins Mask is one of the map's hidden rewards, and unlocking it requires you to complete three strange little minigames in the forest and then do them all over again in their harder versions. Apparently completing a children's game once wasn't enough suffering.

The reward is worth the effort, though. The mask gives your weapon a special Twins lightning attack that can periodically tear through nearby zombies while you're firing.

Let's find out what we need to do in order to activate this mask's Easter egg.

What Does the Twins Mask Do?

Before we get into the actual quest, let's talk about why you're voluntarily signing up for forest-based psychological warfare.

The Twins Mask gives your weapon a unique effect that periodically calls in the mysterious twins with a lightning strike. The attack damages and clears nearby zombies, effectively giving you an extra source of crowd control while you're fighting.

In other words:

• You shoot zombies
• The Twins occasionally decide they've had enough of the zombies too
• Everyone has a much worse day

The effect works alongside your existing weapon setup, making the mask a useful reward for players who want to push into higher rounds.

Pre-requisites

There are a couple of things you'll need to take care of before the forest minigames become available.

Most importantly, you need to progress far enough into the Rex Infernus main quest to gain access to the forest area through the Nyxara Inner Sanctum. The forest becomes accessible from around Round 8 onwards.

You don't necessarily need to complete the entire Wonder Weapon quest to obtain the mask, but you do need access to the relevant forest area.

Before starting it, make sure you have at least got equipped:

•  A decent weapon
•  Armor
•  A few perks
•  Plenty of ammunition
•  Some patience
•  The emotional resilience required to lose a children's minigame to zombies

The challenges themselves aren't particularly complicated, but you're still playing Zombies. Things have a habit of becoming considerably less relaxing once the undead arrive.

Step 1 - The Nyxara Puzzle

Before we go anywhere, we will need to unlock on this map the NYXARA PUZZLE on the map, which is essentially getting you prepared to unlock a free wonder weapon on this map.

This wonder weapon is actually used for the main Easter egg so will be particularly useful completing these parts for obtaining that when you need it.

Just above where the DRAVAKAR ENTRANCE / MAIN CHAMBER is located, there is a small section of a ledge which is a bit of a U shape, that hides a secret behind part of the wall which has a CRACK on in it.

If you use an explosive on this crack up here on the wall, or use the PHD flopper perk and dive and splash beside the wall, it will crumble down, revealing the FRACTURE OF NYXARA crystal item.

Pick this crystal up, then we will need to head over to the NYXARA MAIN CHAMBER area of the map and jump up one part of the wall that can be seen in the images below, to place the crystal we picked up into a weird placeholder just at the top of the wall section here.

Run towards the wall and jump up it and look up, then hold the interact button to place the crystal down.

Now we have that in place, head over to the PACK A PUNCH MACHINE area in NEXUS FORGE and use the GRAPPLE GUN to grab and pull towards you one of the purple orbs that are dotted around the map.

There is one shown below just behind the Pack A Punch machine. Keep grappling until you pull it close to the PACK A PUNCH MACHINE, then use the WHEEL on the pack a punch and  crank it.

This will then make the PURPLE ORB start to rotate very fast around the PACK A PUNCH MACHINE, as well as activating one of two pedestals on the stairs leading out of the pack a punch machine area.

These PEDESTALS will be glowing with an ASTRAL FLAME which is coloured purple.

Hold the use button on one of these to pick them up.

Now we have the Astral Flame in our hands, which is probably burning the surface of our skin as we speak...ouch, we need to head to the NYXARA SANCTUARY area of the map and find the EYE that is on the wall in this area right at the back of the map.

When we find this we need to throw the PURPLE ASTRAL FLAME until it hits the EYE and ignites it in a purple flame. It will then start pulsing out PURPLE ENERGY BURSTS.

What we need to do with the PURPLE ENERGY PULSE coming from the EYE on the wall, is make it bounce off PURPLE CRYSTALS within this NYXARA SANCTUARY area, until they reflect and bounce the energy pulse out the door into the NYXARA MAIN CHAMBER and into the purple crystal that you picked up from destroying the wall above the main chamber and placed on the wall.

This is very easy to do and it just requires following the purple energy burst from the eye until it hits a crystal, then using the grappling hook to the move the angle of the crystal, until it points to another crystal that in turn, bounces the purple energy pulses out of the main doorway you came in, then eventually, into the crystal in the main chamber.

When we get the angles all perfect on each crystal with the grapple hook so it eventually successfully hits our crystal we placed up the wall, then bounces the energy off to hit a SECRET DOOR just to the side of where it was placed.

Once the secret door is revealed, you will go into the room and a mini lockdown will start where you will be feeding zombie souls to the roots of a vine or tree.

All we have to do in here is survive the lockdown and kill zombies, until a bar on the left hand side of the screen labelled VINE LIFE is fully charged up to the end.

Once this is completed, you will eat a FRUIT and then you will be teleported into the forest.

You can eat this piece of fruit to enter the forest, once per round, so to come in again progress to the next round and you can do it again or another challenge in here.

Step 2 - Finding Samantha's Toy Box

Once you've reached the forest, look for the area near the forest house.

You'll find a small Samantha toy box near a tree/corrupted branch.

Interact with it to activate it and then leave the forest, and continue to the next round.

Then return to the forest, by eating the fruit again on the vine.

Step 3 - Let's Play

When you return to the forest on the following round, you'll now be looking to find the toy box waiting for you.

Interact with it and three toys will appear.

Each toy in the box corresponds to a different minigame:

• Rope means we will have to survive the jump-rope challenge
• Teddy Bear means we have to collect all the toys
• Clown/Jester Mask we will be playing hide-and-seek with the Twins

You need to complete all three games on NORMAL mode first, however as you may have seen this coming, there is a catch.... as always.

You can only complete one minigame per round, meaning you're going to be spending several rounds wandering back into the forest to finish the entire mini game set.

Once we complete all 3 games once, this will be on the NORMAL MODE for each game we will have completed them in. 

After completing them on easy, we will have to do them all over again on the HARD MODE as well, in order to get the TWINS MASK / AMMO MOD successfully.

Here are the three Twin's Minigames:

Jumping Rope Challenge

For the jump rope challenge, you're looking for the rope in the TOY BOX to select.

Interact with it to start the minigame.

Once the challenge begins, your job is surprisingly straightforward and that is to jump over the rope as it swings toward you.

The NORMAL version is relatively forgiving.

Normal version:

• Interact with the rope in the Twins toy box.
• Watch the rope carefully.
• Jump as it reaches you.
• Don't spam the jump button.
• You can take three hits.

As it approaches your character, time your jump so that you clear it cleanly. Don't start hammering the jump button repeatedly, because panic-jumping is a surprisingly effective way of making things worse.

Think of it like a rhythm game. Simply watch, wait, jump and repeat.

Don't Rush Your Jumps

One of the easiest mistakes to make is jumping too early.

You see the rope coming toward you and your brain immediately screams!

Once completed, you will be returned to the NYXARA INNER SANCTUM where the FRUIT is and reward you with things like Pack A Punch Crystals, Essence, Salvage etc.

What About the HARD DIFFICULTY Jump Rope Challenge?

This is where the game stops being quite so friendly.

After you've completed the NORMAL Twins challenges, you'll eventually have to tackle their harder versions.

The hard jump rope challenge introduces some new difficulties to the mini game and these are:

• You'll have two ropes.
• One rope moves slowly.
• One rope moves quickly.
• Watch both and adjust your timing.
• You only get two mistakes before you fail

You need to pay attention to both ropes and react to their changing timing.

Try not to panic on this harder version , it is easier said than done this kind of thing, but the harder version is specifically designed to make you panic.

You've got two ropes moving at different speeds, you've got limited mistakes and you've probably got a bunch of undead monsters waiting outside for you to finish your afternoon exercise.

Take a breath and concentrate on the ropes!

What Happens When You Complete A Mini Game?

Once you successfully finish the jump rope challenge, you'll receive the associated reward and the challenge will be counted toward your progress through the Twins Mask quest.

Remember that you can generally complete only one Twins minigame per round, so don't worry if you can't immediately start another challenge.

Simply survive the round, return to the forest when the toy box becomes available again and continue working through the remaining challenges.

You'll eventually need to complete all three normal challenges and then their harder versions to finish the Twins Mask quest.

Teddy Bear Challenge

The Teddy Bear challenge is essentially a twisted version of a children's collecting game.

You'll need to run around the forest collecting glowing toys while dealing with enemies and creepy copies of yourself. 

You will have a certain amount of time to collect all of them and the main difference between the NORMAL and HARD modes is the amount of toys that need collected and the range the weeping angels travel when you turn your back increases dramatically, so each move, they will be much closer than comfort to you.

The important thing here is movement. Don't stand around admiring the scenery.....not that there is much to admire in a haunted forest.

You're in a forest full of zombies, so keep moving!

Some guides describe the enemies in this challenge as behaving similarly to the classic "Weeping Angel" mechanic where they become a problem, only when you're not looking at them.

Sometimes walking backwards during this challenge is easier and can keep the Weeping Angel style zombies back at a distance that, when they do eventually move, you will still be one or two steps ahead of them.

Here is a quick summary of the NORMAL and HARD modes:

Normal version

• Select the yellow Teddy Bear from the toy box
• Collect all of the glowing toys
• Ghostly copies chase you
• The ghosts stop when you're looking at them
• Keep moving and regularly check behind you
• Finish collecting everything before the timer expires

Hard version

• Select the red Teddy Bear
• The same ghost mechanic applies
• MORE toys must be collected
• You have the same basic time pressure
• Plan your route and avoid unnecessary movement
• Keep the ghosts at a distance by looking at them when necessary

Once enough toys have been collected, you will be teleported out back to where the FRUIT is located at the TREE VINE and it will spit out your rewards.

Collect this and we can move onto the final mini game.

Top Teddy Bear Challenge Tips

Keep checking your surroundings and don't sprint blindly from one toy to another. Look around frequently and make sure nothing has crept up behind you.

You can hear, when playing with headphones, the sounds of the toys, which make a tingling sparkly noise in the direction the next toy is located in.

Also, clear nearby zombies before starting if possible, to help forge a clear path to the next point you need to get to.

There is nothing quite like losing a timed minigame because a zombie decided your ankles looked delicious.

Clown Mask / Hide-and-Seek Challenge

To activate this mini game, we must interact with the CLOWN MASK in the TOY BOX.

You'll need to locate the Twins around the forest multiple times before the timer runs out.

This one is less about killing things and more about finding things quickly.

Which sounds relaxing.....which.....It isn't.

The Twins will appear in different locations, and you'll need to locate them repeatedly before the timer expires.

Each time you find one of the twins, or both of them in a spot, you will be briefly stunned by them and then they will turn into an ORB and vanish into thin air.

They will then appear at another location in the forest which you need to find and keep repeating this process, until they are happy you have won this game.

Normal version

• Select the Clown/Jester Mask from the toy box
• Search the forest for the Twins
• Use their clues to locate them
• Find them repeatedly
• Keep moving and avoid unnecessary fights
• Complete the required number of searches before the timer expires

Hard version

• Select the red Clown/Jester Mask
• The basic objective remains the same
• Find the Twins repeatedly
• The timing is less forgiving
• Move quickly and search efficiently
• Use your knowledge of the forest from the normal version

Hide-and-seek tips

Don't waste time fighting every zombie you see.

Your priority is finding the Twins at each location in the forest, as time is precious in this game, especially the HARDER MODE version.

Use the environment to your advantage and keep moving through the forest rather than getting stuck in one area.

If you're playing with teammates, communication can also help enormously. One player finding the target can save everyone else a considerable amount of running around like they've forgotten where they parked the car.

Game Over

Once the NORMAL and the HARD game modes have been completed, you will be teleported out back to the VINE where the FRUIT spawns each time and you will be given much more high grade loot, along with the TWINS MASK.

Now you can pick it up and use it to your advantage. 

The PEDESTAL for this mask is in the DRAVAKAR SANCTUARY if you get another mask but want to switch to this mask at anytime, it is available in this area.
