Think you’ve found every secret in Rex Infernus? Think again! The final round-based Zombies map in Call of Duty Black Ops 7 hides a collection of free Power-Ups scattered across its temples, ruined structures and distant islands.
Find all seven initial drops, and you’ll unlock two additional rewards in the form of a Fire Sale and a Random Perk!
In this guide, we’ll break down all nine free Power-Up locations, explain which area of the map to visit, and show you how to trigger the final Fire Sale reward.
No guessing, no wasting time wandering around the map, just grab your favourite weapon, get your aim ready, and start hunting!
The Rex Infernus Power-Up Easter Egg consists of nine hidden pickups. The first seven can be activated in any order, while the final two only become available after the initial seven have been triggered.
Here’s what you need to collect and where they are located:
- Max Ammo located in Her House
Head back to the HER HOUSE area of the map, the starting area of Rex Infernus, and make your way to the bottom floor. Look towards the western side of the room, where you’ll find a fireplace and a painting nearby.
Melee the painting to move it aside, then crouch down and check the opening behind it.
You’ll find the hidden Max Ammo target tucked away inside, in the upper left hand corner of this hiding spot behind the painting.
Shoot the target to activate the Power-Up.
- Double Points located in Caltheris Passage
Travel to Caltheris Passage, just before reaching Caltheris Entrance. Move towards the right-hand side of the ledge and look out into the distance.
Turn your aim south, at about 7 o'clock from where you were looking at from the ledge.
You are looking for a small target on a pillar, belonging to a distant ruined temple structure.
This one can be tricky to spot at first, so take your time lining up the shot.
Once you hit the target, the Double Points Power-Up will spawn.
- Nuke located in Caltheris Main Chamber
Make your way to Caltheris Main Chamber and head onto the platform leading towards Ruinas Insula. From here, look out towards the distant buildings.
Aim northeast, using approximately 75 on your compass as a guide. The target is located on the flat rooftop of a building in the distance.
Line up your shot and destroy it to activate the Nuke Power-Up.
- Full Power located in Veytharion Main Chamber
Head to Veytharion Main Chamber and locate the Arsenal Machine.
Look upwards and to the left, towards the ceiling at the corner of a nearby pillar.
The hidden target is positioned high above you, so adjust your aim carefully.
Shoot it to activate Full Power.
- Max Armor located in Dravakar Entrance
Travel to the Dravakar Entrance and locate the first zombie barricade on the left-hand side. This is the broken opening in the wall where zombies can enter.
Check the left corner behind the damaged section of the wall.
The Max Armor target is positioned low down, making it easy to overlook if you're rushing through the area.
Adjust your view, jump if necessary to get a clearer angle, and shoot the target.
- Bonus Points located in Nyxara Passage
Head to Nyxara Passage and find the Stamin-Up machine. Turn left and look through the opening nearby, towards the structures far beyond the playable area.
Aim south, using approximately, 155 on your compass, as a reference. Look carefully for the target inside a ruined building in the distance.
This is one of the harder targets to see without a scope, so zoom in and take your time before firing.
- Insta-Kill located in Nyxara Main Chamber
Travel to Nyxara Main Chamber and move towards the upper-left corner of the area near the fiery drop.
Rather than looking straight ahead, look down into the crevice below the main chamber.
You'll find the target underneath the chamber, near the lava pit and one of the pillars.
Carefully line up your shot and destroy the target to activate Insta-Kill.
- Fire Sale located in Spira Insula (unlocks after the first seven are activated)
Before travelling to Spira Insula, make sure you have activated all seven of the initial Power-Ups listed above. The Fire Sale target will not appear until the requirements have been met.
Once you've collected them all, head to Spira Insula, the island between Nyxara Sanctuary and Veytharion Sanctuary.
Locate the Mystery Box spawn point on the island. From there, look out towards the distant ruined building and aim approximately 336 on your compass.
The hidden Fire Sale target is floating around the distant structure. It can be difficult to see, so use a scoped weapon and carefully scan the area.
Shoot the target to trigger the free Fire Sale Power-Up.
- Random Perk located in Aranea Insula (unlocks after the first seven are activated)
There's one more reward to collect! Once the first seven Power-Ups have been activated, the Random Perk target also becomes available.
Head to Aranea Insula, the northern island associated with Widow's Wine.
Move towards the northwestern part of the island and look down towards the bridge in the distance. The hidden target is positioned towards the far-right side of the bridge.
Line up your shot and destroy it to activate the Random Perk Power-Up.
Most of these hidden drops are represented by small objects or statues in awkward places, including structures floating beyond the normal playable areas. You generally need to shoot them to make the Power-Up appear.
Top tip: Take a weapon with a scope if you have one. Several targets are a long distance away, and being able to zoom in makes this Easter Egg much easier.
