Hi Guys, 

One of the smaller but most rewarding secrets hidden across Reckoning is the Vending Machine Easter Egg. This is a nice little of a fun carry-oer from Liberty Falls. 

Vending Machine that never gets items stuck and keeps on giving!

If you’re exploring the second tower, make sure to stop by the T2 Android Assembly room. You’ll spot the machine sitting close to the anti-gravity personnel launcher and directly in front of Klaus’s suspended torso. Its placement makes it easy to miss on a fast run, but it’s worth working into your route, especially in the early rounds.

The machine functions like a mini slot system for free loot. All it takes is a quick melee strike, and the vending machine spits out a random prize, which can be anything from simple throwables to full-blown firepower like the Ray Gun. 

Best of all, the machine can be hit once per round, giving you a steady flow of bonus gear if you make it part of your circuit through T2. 

However, there is a twist to this just like in Liberty Falls, which is if you’ve got the Melee Macchiato Perk-a-Cola, your boosted swings will actually destroy the vending machine. Doing so can end the chain of small rewards but sometimes forces out a single large drop as a consolation prize.

As far as design goes, this Easter egg fits perfectly into the pacing of Reckoning. It’s tucked away enough that casual players might skip it, but once you know its spot, it becomes a reliable part of your strategy. Do you preserve the machine for a drip-feed of resources every round, or do you smash it early and gamble on a heavy weapon pay out? 

Either way, it’s another clever layer of choice and risk-reward that enriches the flow of the map.

Hi Guys,

Who doesn't love a vending machine? I mean they are full of sweet treats, crisps, chocolate as well as amazing drinks and so much more. How about a vending machine that just keeps on giving for free, round after round, that is until, you punch it so hard that it explodes with Melee Macchiato and gives you even more, better rewards as a thank you?

Well Liberty Falls has one such VENDING MACHINE that is located at the MOTOR LODGE MOTEL just underneath the stairs that take you up to the 1st floor.

This vending machine will give you one reward per round and all you have to do is do what everyone else does when you put money into a vending machine, press your selection.....the coils turn and.....your item gets stuck.....we start to bang, wobble and smash the front of it till or item wriggles out.....simples.

Simply melee the machine at the bottom once per round and out will pop your rewards. If playing in 2 player or more, this can only be done by one person. It is not going to spit out one thing per person each round, its just once and that is it. Simply wait your turn or fight your team mates as to who goes next and collects the next reward in the next round.

Here are some of the things you can get from the vending machine, to name but a few:

• Ray Gun (Yip, you can sometimes if your lucky get wonder weapons from this machine)
• Pack A Punch Crystals (Usually Tier 1)
• Raw Aetherium Crystals
• Chopper Gunner, Sentry Turret etc (Seems to be killstreaks also available)
• Perks (You can get STAMIN-UP, QUICK REVIVE, JUGGERNOG etc and also seem to be Perks that don't have Perk Machines like DEADSHOT DAIQUIRI and ELEMENTAL POP will come flying out)
• Salvage
• Grenades
• 100 Essence
• Free bag of cookies or crackers which are actually in the machine, meaning....you get nothing my friend

As well as getting rewards like the ones mentioned above, it can also attack you, when it must be feeling you are getting a bit too greedy. Sometimes when you melee it, it will spit out and activate a smoke grenade on you or actually drop a frag grenade and explode, damaging you which isn't a very nice vending machine.

Goodbye Vending Machine....it was good while it lasted!

Now you can actually destroy the vending machine if you are fully kitted out all of your players and yourself. To totally destroy it and get around 3 or 4 better rewards at the same time, all you have to do is:

• Have a PACK A PUNCHED weapon

• Go to the FORECOURT area beside the CEMETERY in front of the CHURCH and purchase MELEE MACCHIATO

• Then go back to the VENDING MACHINE and hole out your Pack A Punched weapon, then MELEE the machine while using this weapon.

You will notice a golden explosion when you punch it as you knock it out of existence and the rewards will start to spew out of it. These are usually three or four hundred essence along with other things like salvage, armor etc.

Once you destroy this vending machine, it is destroyed for the whole play through so make sure everyone has got their fill from it before sending it to the junk yard.
