Easter Egg guide: -- Part 1 -- Part 2 -- Part 3

Hi guys,

Here is the map layout for the Omega Outpost area for the zombies map Die Maschine in Call Of Duty Cold War. Its a fairly tight space when entering the outpost, as it is long and narrow with not many avenues of escape, so be careful when on higher rounds, as when training zombies you think you have got them all ahead of you and insight when one sneaky zombie will usually surprise you from behind with a fatal clip round the ear.

This outpost can be entered from the main spawn area called the YARD for a cost of 500 credits and when heading upstairs you can gain access to the CRASH SITE area when you blow a wall up in the corner of the first floor, for a cost of 1000 credits.

There is also a powered door on the first floor that opens up the map quite considerably and is opened automatically as soon as the power is switched on in the PARTICLE ACCELERATOR area.

Quick overview of this area has:

  • MP5 weapon purchase
  • D.I.E. Wonder Weapon location
  • Perk Machine in the form of STAMINUP - Costs 2500  -makes you run faster
  • Mystery box spawn location
  • Multiple Ammo cache reload points
  • 1911 weapon purchase for 750 credits
  • Hauer weapon purchase for 1000 credits
  • Diamatti weapon purchase for 1750 credits
  • Access to CRASH SITE area
  • Access to POND area
  • Contains the areas Living Room, Outpost Omega, Mezzanine, Penthouse and Bedroom areas
  • 3 Intel pickups
  • Empty Canister Part (Used in the WEAPON BAY area's "Cleaning Unit" machine and needs filled with Plaguehound Gas - Intel below
  • Elemental Pop Perk Machine

GROUND FLOOR

BEDROOM

LIVING ROOM

MEZZANINE

"The VHS Tape" Intel as you head up to the PENTHOUSE steps is only available after you have acquired the D.I.E. Shockwave. Go on top of Nacht Der Untoten and suck in the empty canister in the corner. An audiotape is also sucked in towards you that you can collect and activate to give it a listen to

PENTHOUSE

Empty Flask
Look toward the POND AREA and you will see a box balancing on the edge of one of the walls. We need to shoot this with the D.I.E. Wonder weapon. When we do, it will fall down into the POND AREA and the box will reveal and EMPTY FLASK. It will also drop into the POND AREA another piece of INTEL beside the EMPTY FLASK.

Elementary Dear Watson....it always goes with a POP!
Elemental Pop is a Perk-a-Cola featured in Zombies. It was introduced in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War in the map Die Maschine. The perk machine doubles as an arcade machine, and when acquired gives every bullet fired by the player a small chance to apply a random base Ammo Mod effect at the base tier.

Empty Canister  Additional Information for Mezzanine Area
When you pick up this canister, it is to be taken to the WEAPONS LAB area near the DEAD SHOT perk. There is a machine in the corner of this lower level of the WEAPONS LAB which wants you to put the canister in a "CLEANING UNIT" machine

Next all you need to do is kill a plaguehound next to the canister, which will then trap some of the gas that is emitted from it when it dies. Don't worry we are not catching the dogs farts or anything after a few baked beans, this machine is not a farter trapper, its a more serious bit of kit........this PLAGUEHOUND GAS CANISTER PART is then taken to the CRASH SITE area and placed on a WEAPONS CRATE to the right of the planes banjaxed cockpit.

This canister sequence relates to upgrading the WONDER WEAPON within this level from the "D.I.E. THERMOPHASIC" to the "D.I.E. NOVA 5"

D.I.E. WONDER WEAPON INTEL
In order to access this area you will need to obtain the D.I.E. REMOTE CONTROL that is obtained by killing a MEGATON ZOMBIE and getting the KEYCARD they drop.

This KEYCARD is then taken to the WEAPONS LAB and inserted into the machine will make it pop out a drawer containing the D.I.E. REMOTE CONTROL.

Simply come back here with the remote control, activate it by looking in the crack in the wall into the room behind the metal door that you cannot get access to. This will start a machine that sucks zombie souls that are killed nearby it.

Once you kill around 25 to 30 zombies, the door will blow open and you can collect the D.I.E. WONDER WEAPON.

Electrobolt Crystal Location
When upgrading the D.I.E. wonderweapon to the D.I.E. ELECTROBOLT  version, this is one of the 3 crystals you will need to suck the energy out of and fire into the AMMO CRATE located in the PARTICLE ACCELERATOR ROOM. You can only see the crystals when in the DARK AETHER.

This crystal is on the roof of the BEDROOM AREA as you can see in the image, can be a bit tricky to see.

Secret Song Tape Location
Around the map there are 3 Hidden Song tapes scattered, find all 3 of these to activate a very cool song. Not sure how to activate the hidden song? Let me sing a tune for you in the form of the Secret Song Easter Egg Guide.

Thanks for reading as always guys.

Die Maschine Zombies "Yard" Area Map Layout - Call of Duty Cold War

Map Layouts: -- Yard -- Omega Outpost -- Crash Site -- Tunnel / Control Room -- Weapons Lab -- Pond -- Medical Bay -- Particle Accelerator --

Secrets: -- Pack A Punch / Power -- FREE D.I.E. Wonderweapon -- Upgrading the D.I.E. Wonderweapon -- Easter Egg Song -- Building the Aetherscope -- Medical Computer Password / Dr Vogels Diary -- Coffin Dance -- Monster Hand Weapon Upgrade -- Satellite Easter Egg -- Floating Zombie --

Easter Egg guide: -- Part 1 -- Part 2 -- Part 3

Hi guys,

here we have the map layout for the new Call of Duty Cold War zombies map entitled "Die Maschine". If this map feels all too familiar or your getting a hint of Deja Vu in place, then good, as it contains the "Nacht Der Untoten" elements within the map, the concrete bunker the level took place in. However this time around the map has been extended and revamped way beyond that sandbox bunker and they have let you run wild and free from this point on.

In this zombies version we collect money the same way as previous zombies, by blowing them away with the biggest guns known to man. We can also collect resources from zombies while slaughtering them in the form of salvaged parts. These parts can be used to create items on the crafting tables dotted around the map. Think of salvage as money for crafting tables, they have their own separate bank account.

Green salvage drops that you find is uncommon parts, blue salvage drops contain lots more parts when picked up, but collecting lots of green salvage does eventually add up over the rounds and do come in useful especially when in a bit of a jam when needing a little bit of help along the way.

Zombies also drop from time to time drop items that can be used straight away, including, but not limited to:

  • Tomahawks - Can carry more than one, one hit kills for quite a few rounds, can be picked up and used again
  • Frag Grenades
  • Stimshot
  • Body Armour
  • C4
  • Stun Grenades

You can also try to exfil the area from round 10 onwards and every 5 rounds after that. The higher the round you attempt to exfil in, the better the bonus or reward will be if you escape.

Map Layout

This first section we begin the game in is the main spawn area, called the YARD.

Its not a huge area to begin with which is good if you have just started the game, as it lets you get your bearings quite quickly and find out where the exists from this area are, without too much pressure on you to move on right away......well apart from the pressure of the flesh eating undead beasts that will be chasing you around like a headless chickens during the rounds......if that's not pressure.....I don't know what is!

This area has the following points of interest:

  • Ammo Cache - purchase ammo for guns you are carrying

  • Aetherscope Part - Found just under the stairs to the left of the CRAFTING TABLE in the YARD area.

  • Crafting Table - build items with collected salvage parts

  • Mystery Box Spawn Location

  • Door which only opens when power is on (turned on in PARTICLE ACCELERATOR area)
  • 2 door purchases - Leads to LIVING ROOM & OMEGA OUTPOST areas (Cost 500)
  • Very cool graffiti and artwork on the walls
  • Broken down tank needs repaired

Yard Area Map Layout

Tank Repair Points Intel

The tank is part of the main Easter egg and when you fill up the 4 canisters in the roof of the MEDICAL BAY while doing the Easter Egg or upgrading the D.I.E Thermophasic wonder weapon, a  new dark ether portal will appear in the corridor between the MEDICAL BAY and the PACK A PUNCH machine room. When you go into this portal you will see ghosts re-enacting something that happened at the facility donkeys ago.

Then when you come back out of the dark ether portal, you will find a DARK ETHER WRENCH on the floor, which you can pick up and then run to the YARD area to fix 4 points on the tank.

When you fix the tank, the hatch on the top will open and a peek-a-boo zombie will start giving you some guff. Simply shoot him and kill him, then find or build at the crafting table a semtex and fire it so that it sticks to the inside of the hatch.

When you have done it right there will be a large explosion and a fiery red fireball. Also the tank will let out an almighty plume of smoking, which is probably more than enough to put a second hole in the ozone layer, which indicates that you have completed this step. As you walk away you may hear some gun fire coming from the top of the turret as well so that means everything is going good.

Satellite Location
1 of 3 satellites dotted around the map which need to be realigned. Once all 3 have been realigned, you will get a LARGE ZOMBIE ESSENCE REWARD which will be collected from the PENTHOUSE rooftop on top of OMEGA OUTPOST.

Prerequisites are that you need to have:

Over the next few days I will be adding all the other map locations and their respective points of interests, so watch this space.

Thanks for reading as always guys.

Call Of Duty Modern Warfare Zombies - Thoughts on new game modes

Hi guys,

So we have some amazing news over the past week that comes in the form of knowing that zombies is finally making an appearance in Call Of Duty Modern Warfare.....woo hoo! It has been sorely missed, especially by myself over the past 10 months or so, so much its absence has brought a tear to my eye at times....but lets keep that between you and me.

Thankfully, now it has almost arrived, some leaks about what it could be about have popped up all over the internet after data miners have found certain options hidden in code etc and tried to decipher what it might mean.

Some people have speculated that this will be the transition part of Modern Warfare into Call Of Duty Black Ops: Cold War, getting us fired up for its release by making this the first chapter in zombies which will carry its story over from Modern Warfare into Cold War. This could be bang on the money, or it could be people throwing wild guesses into the air left right and centre like a giant confetti convention.

What I believe is that as the zombie mode is coming to warzone, a huge open battlefield where you can go almost anywhere, will be a huge version of the popular game mode called Infection from the game Perfect Dark Zero, which was originally on Nintendo 64 consoles, then ported over to Xbox 360 as one of its early launch titles.....both of which were awesome.

However in the Perfect Dark infection game type, there would be human players and others who were a skeleton. When the skeleton / infected killed a person, they joined the infected team and have to hunt down those who were once his allies in a previous life. Once the infected had killed all the human players, the game was over, however zombies in Warzone has had speculation that people who have been infected can return to the game if they consume the heart of fallen players.

This got me thinking whether or not it has to be the players heart from the exact spot he was killed or any players heart who has been killed. I am guessing there is a time limit also in place as to how long you can keep trying to retrieve that heart before it disappears or if a player can destroy it etc.

Expect the release date for Warzone zombies to be around the 5th of October when Season 5 of Warzone will end. Whether this new game mode will give Modern Warfare's life span a boost in longevity as its only about 5 weeks away when its presumed to be introduced from the arrival of Cold War which may shift about 80% of the players straight to the new game I predict....although I'm no crystal ball :).

Reportedly around the Internet from some reliable sources they beleive these are the 4 game modes that have been revealed for the Warzone overhaul for zombies:

  • Pandemic / Outbreak
  • Armoured Cargo/Truck Wars
  • Plunder: Fire Sale
  • Zombies Royale

Pandemic / Outbreak
This is going to be the main draw I think to the new zombies mode and could be a game changer if it was large scale zombies game mode, like Warzone is easily capable of handling, Say around 100 players or so starting off with 80 not infected and 20 zombie flesh eaters, in a slightly smaller area of the main map, possibly located in the heavily denser city areas with lots of buildings / rooms that can be entered.

Armoured Cargo/Truck Wars
This could be something along the lines of games like Rainbow Six Vegas for instance, where the truck is in fact the same as a VIP and needs escorted from one area to another without being blown to smithereens. The truck would have a lot more hit points than a person as its made of metal....simple physics....or is it chemistry.....who cares metal is hard, flesh is soft, bullets will ping off metal, hopefully.

It could also be something where users can shoot out of the trucks with more than a few people onboard and they cannot get out of the vehicle, so its all vehicle action based. Players in large fleets of trucks attack each other while also trying to protect someone who is the VIP truck. Possibly with hordes of zombies all over the place in between the trucks routes that you can mow down like a lawn mower in huge 20 tonne military trucks.....that would be cool, Carrmageddon style, but with zombies. The more zombies you hit the more it slows you down and are susceptible to being rammed by other players or shot at.

Plunder: Fire Sale
This game mode makes me think that its like the FIESTA mode game types that are in Halo 5, for instance, each time a player dies, they get a totally random weapon from the entire arsenal within the game. The weapon could be as useless as a pea shooter or as powerful as a nuke, you just never know what your going to get each time you hit respawn.

It could also just be that there are no fixed weapons anywhere and every weapon is totally random, which would definitely change the dynamics of a zombie game mode type. In all previous zombie maps there is always set locations for various guns you can always rely on.

Zombies Royale
This makes me think its a huge map again where everyone is working together on the same team, possibly with more players than the normal 4 we are always used to. For instance this could have maybe 8 to 10 players and with each round within a section of the huge warzone map, more and more zombies appear like in the previous zombies games and get harder as it goes along. Think of the scene from Resident Evil: Afterlife below and how they all work in unison to survive....up to a point, then someone always double crosses someone...doh! Should have seen it coming...

Not sure though how the game engine could handle something on such a large scale like that with tonnes of non player entities running around eating up all their PlayStation, PC and Xbox memory to run their code.

Could be a heavily scaled down version of the massive Warzone map.

These are all just predictions and airing my thoughts on what these game types may mean.

For all you know, one or two of the game modes may not be anything to do with zombies they may be just included in the release such as the Armoured Cargo/Truck Wars game mode if released makes me think it may not be zombie orientated. Could be a racing game, mowing down zombies along the way, would be quite fun, but would hate to clean the cars afterwards with all them zombie brains and guts plastered all over the windshield ewww.

Can't wait for it to come out and will be definitely playing it myself and putting tips, secrets and map layouts where I can on here again as its been too long since I done them.
